Why do I love rain and why am I mentioning this today? Well, although summer (officially) began a week ago it’s raining outside so I guess Mother Nature didn’t get the message up here yet. Having said that, I’d like to go on the record as saying – I love the rain. Especially when it’s warm and you can stand in it or dance around in it and just really enjoy the wetness caressing your skin – up close and personal like.

I remember growing up in Oregon (lots of rain there) and jumping up and down in mud puddles and riding my bike through them – just because I could and I loved splashing around in them, also just because I could.

I love the sound rain makes when it lands on the roof, it’s soothing and peaceful. And I love the cleansing smells of the plants and the earth when damp from a good rain storm. All in all I pretty much think that the beauty of rain is a wondrous thing to behold and enjoy!

I taste the rain as it splashes down upon my face – delicious! – PQ

  1. ♪♫ Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain, telling me what a fool I’ve been ♫♪

Standing outside in summer rain with the huge globules is exhilarating. Even better if there is a thunderstorm to go with it 🙂

    • Good Morning Renard. It’s a blue sky, sunny day this morning so reading your pleasant comments about my posts is extra enjoyable – thank you for your words.

  2. I’m kind of glad that summer is slow to come…I do enjoy the rain (being an Oregon-raised girl myself). I love the smell, sound, and let’s not forget the fact that it helps the grass and shrubs be happy! 😛

Thank you for your thoughts!
