Ethereal life

Ethereal Life

Enjoy what you are given – in the moment,

From one heartbeat to the next it can be gone.

Share what you’ve been blessed with – in the moment.

From one heartbeat to the next it can be gone.

Laugh with the richness of life – in the moment.

From one heartbeat to the next it can be gone.

Love all you can love in the moment.

From one heartbeat to the next it can be gone.

Live every moment of your life to the fullest.

From one heartbeat to the next it can be gone.

The young man holding the dandelion fluff is significant. Several years ago on his 10th birthday weekend while preparing with his dad for a big birthday party, his dad had to run an errand, (I was there with the family), he said “I’ll be right back”. And the young man never saw his loving caring dad again as a careless motorist struck and killed him 5 blocks from the families home. I wrote the poem because it is so very very painfully true. Do cherish the moment with those you love. That is the very sincere and emotional message of this poem, and while I first wrote it last July I felt it was worth reblogging again. Thank you.

  2. The truth is in us and thought and thought and the soul and the heart can share usmjeraviti and still remains the question of why the best way , or why it was so had to be, have a nice night

  3. Enjoy what you are given – in the moment,
I apologize for my bad English. True. For, what has been given to us, is that we should be, and is directly proportional to the accumulation of good or bad behavior. We will be given wealth, if our behavior is pleased to share.

Share what you’ve been blessed with – in the moment.
True. In fact, share to others, aims to increase our capacity, which is useful for self-actualization. Unlike the photo sharing via the Internet, sharing you mean have a good meaning. In Indonesia, to eat a month, I just need to buy a sack of rice. To share, I have to buy a truckload of rice!

Live every moment of your life to the fullest.
True. Towards the best human being. This is what we always wanted to be. We wanted to really be useful to others, by increasing the capacity of the responsibility, not only for ourself and family, but also for others. we will be tired, but we paid with happiness ….

Thank you for your post. I like your blog. Hilal Achmar. July 18, 2012

  5. Penny, I first want to thank you for visiting my blog – Reading this poem has made me a fan of yours. It is so touching. I really like the reliability of reusing the same line. Sometimes it can seem contrived but in this case it is so perfect.
You obviously speak from the heart.

    Sincerely, Lesley Fletcher

  6. The poem expresses beautifully the very essence of ‘Life’. And ‘From one heartbeat to the next it can be gone’ to me it seems to say we are not even sure there is another moment for us. Yes the present moment is very precious.

    Thank you for sharing!

    • Thank you for your generous and kind words. I speak of what I’ve learned. Sometime’s life offers painful but valuable lessons to us all. Again my thanks.

  7. Stunning Penny…and yes – words to live by as Christina has also said. In each moment… there are gifts we need to cherish – and your wonderful poem says this with grace! Much Love ~

    • Thank you Robyn, as always your words mean so much to me. Hope the sun is shining where you are (well unless it’s night, then I hope the sun is shining tomorrow! 🙂
