A Blogger’s Appreciation

Līgo Circle of Appreciation

I’m sure that a few of you have noticed that when it comes to blogger award nomination follow-ups I have been more than slightly remiss in responding.

Truth is there is a whole slew of the little guys tucked away (for safe keeping) in my virtual closet (okay maybe bulging at the seams, there’s around 30 in there, a wealth of nomination riches from some exceedingly excellent fellow bloggers -I admit to feeling overwhelmed).

When I went to add the invitation I received this morning to the group, well there was no room left in there (you’d think in cyber space there’d be all the space you need for hiding, I mean saving things away).

So without further adieu I give you the following:

I was invited to join the Līgo Circle of Appreciation by puravida, from A Taste For Adventure!

The Līgo celebration is an annual event that happens every summer solstice in Latvia. They honor those with Līgos of flowers, oak leaves, grasses and plants. They join circles around bonfires and celebrate life, and their appreciation of each other.

The Līgo Circle of Appreciation was created to include fellow bloggers with the same honor.

For the duration of 22 days, starting on October 1st, 2012, 2 bloggers were invited to join the Līgo Circle of Appreciation, and then they invite two…

To Participate:

*Complete this sentence about blogging: ”A great blog is…” * Refer back to the blogger who invited you * Invite 2 bloggers to join the Līgo Circle of Appreciation on a post.

My response:

  • A great blog is every single solitary word written by every single solitary person on this planet about ever single solitary thing! (Yes I love bloggers and blogging, my life line to creativity and love!)

I’d like to invite:

Robyn Lee

And of course Nepotism is alive and well (Christina is my daughter and Robyn would be except she’s already got a most excellent mother herself. lol)!

Thanks for visiting, just so you know – I appreciate every single one of you!

~ Penny

    • Thank you Dianne! How’s everything down under? Hey, if you’re down-under does that mean I’m up-above or way-over-there-somewhere? Do you know I’ve always wanted to visit Australia, New Zealand for tons of reasons, ever since I was a little girl! Penny 🙂

  2. Congratulations on the award of awards Penny. To choose two people and to choose those two is the greatest of honours. I follow both of them, and I agree with your choices.

    Well done my friend.

  3. A great response to your much deserved award! I know, and follow Robyn and I agree with your invitation to her. I do not know your daughter but can still approve for I would do the same if my son blogged. That kid of mine can do no wrong!

    • My daughter lost her husband of 20 years 2 years ago while she was recovering from an illness (he was struck and killed by a careless motorist on his sons birthday – and then his parents turned against her and her children) She has come back from so very much – Robyn knows of our struggles as we know of hers and it has made us close. Both these women are brave everyday and I picked them mostly for those reasons Paul, thank you for your lovely words and my daughter – the most beautiful soul I know, inside and out!

  4. Oh thank you for invitation… you can be my blog mom here Penny ~ anytime 🙂 xo ps: congratulations — To be honest I really stopped participating in awards a while back (just could not keep up)… maybe this one is doable though – will try. Do I need to do a descriptive post – like yours explaining history of award and such? Let me know dearest one ~ Sending you LOVE ! xo

    • Oh Robyn you sweet wonderful you! I know you don’t do awards, I picked the two of you because I just wanted to. Please no obligation on your part.
I think I bend the rules a little bit, Only do what’s fun! That’s what blogging is really all about my bestest friend. Love to you also, xox

    • Thanks Len, when I started to receive them, I was doing pretty good and then I got a bunch close together and then well…it isn’t 30 awards, but duplicate nominations, so maybe only, oh I don’t know 15 or 20, Gad that sounds awful doesn’t it?

      • Ok Ms need some direction I am here to give you that direction. Starta page naming it something chic about awards, appreciation , or something, then place the one image of each and underneath, beside it or something say who it came fromand thats it. I mean what are you going to do when the give the Pulitzer for world peace blogging and author of great wisdom …hide it under a bushel I think not . So do thiss it is ok to toot your own horn a bit!

        • Thanks Len, actually I have that page it’s at the top called I belong and it has a few awards in it my friend. And just so you know…I’m lousy at tooting my own horn, but I will think on what you said and try to do something similar to this! Thank you, I do appreciate you! Penny 🙂

  5. Ah, Penny, even in a cyberspace closet AnElephant’s first rule applies:
Everything expands to fill all available space.

And AnElephant congratulates you on your nomination and on your choice of bloggers, both very special ladies.

Thank you for your thoughts!
