~
spreading forth your wings
I envy you
Yes I do
You can do such splendid things.
~
I hold my breath as off you go
sailing up above
to fly so high
into the sky
Your freedom I do love.
~
Could you share your gift with me
A song for you I’d sing,
To be so free
A thing to see
Great pleasure it would bring!
~
I do not begrudge your freedom
well perhaps a smidgen or two,
I just so wish that I could fly
That I could be like you!
Sigh!

Thanks for the visit, have a great day ~ fly high!

I’m flying high with your post!
Ahhh…To be a bird & soar the skies…except without the bird brain π
xx π π xx
Yes, a little more brain power along with the wings lol! π
Hi Penny!
Thank you for sharing your poem and the inspiration it radiates! π
Much love!
Thanks, I always have wanted to be able to fly since I was a little girl even! π
π
Thanks for explaining how to fix that twitter thing , but one more thing … it stands “Drag widgets from here to a sidebar on the right to activate them.” but were?
by the way awesome post! π
Hi Tina J.S!
Although the question you asked is not for me I may be able to help you – if you arev talking about the WordPress widgets.
When you are in the “widgets menu” of your dashboard there should be a little bar named “Sidebar” on the right next to the box with all the widgets. If there is no box beneath the name may click that little arrow next to the word “Sidebar” in that little bar. Then a box should drop down in which you can “drag and drop” the widgets you wish to display in the sidbar of your blog. (Which options you have available may depend on the chosen theme, as far as I understand it.)
Hope this helps. If not, please forgive my boldness.
Anyway, much love! π
Thanks ! π
Thanks Stefanie, I was off line for most of yesterday and today, so I appreciate your thoughtfulness as I’m sure Tina did also! π
Good to read that it was appropriate to follow my intuition, here. π
Yes it was! π
I hope Stefanie was able to help you, I was off line most of yesterday until now. Thank you for the nice compliment Tina! π
I want to sing
like a bird sings,
not caring what
other people
hear,
or think.

Nice poem, Penny! Keep carving brilliance, and then yes, just like what Robyn said, you’ll get published. Hope 2013 is the year for you! π

Subhan Zein

Terribly afraid of heights but this does make me want to fly!! Beautiful Penny my dear just beautiful (((xx)))
Thank you Len. I’m glad! I think flying would be a wonderful thing! All my love, hope you’re doing okay with your leg my dear friend! Love and hugs for you also! xoxo
Another spot of brilliance from you.
To be able to fly like a bird would be wonderful. As long as we don’t end up like Icarus. To be able to fly would allow us to go anywhere in the world. To see so much and have a view that is just sublime.
Thank you Penny
My pleasure, Alastair, thank you very much, I’ve always wanted to fly (I do in my dreams now and again) π
I have (on occasion) been able to leave my body and go elsewhere in my dreams. I have been able to do it intentionally once, years ago, when I was under a psychiatrist after witnessing and helping out at an accident that made me agoraphobic. I will have to try and remember the things I was taught and write them down to share.
Sounds like a good plan Alastair! I think it would be interesting to share this with others! π
π
Thank you Barb!
There is no end to your many talents and your generous spirit. Thanks for sharing with us. π
Always a pleasure dearest friend of mine! π

AnElephantCant have wings like an angel
But AnElephant is quite undeterred
He thinks it sublime
To read Penny’s rhyme
So he feels he can fly like a bird
Your poem is wonderful. Thank you my friend!
