Happy International Women’s Day! Love the slide show. Women have worked hard to be where they are now and continue to do so by lending themselves to countries that are not there yet.
I heard on the radio this morning that they didn’t want to wish empowerment to women today because they already have it – but that is not in all countries. Instead they decided to Salute and I like that better because it is all encompassing. SALUTE!!
SALUTE Leslie! Yes true and true! Empowerment is a misused word today. The riches that the women of the world have within them are immense! For the peoples of the planet to not utilize women for all that we are capable of to further all of civilization is not only a waste of a human life but a waste of the precious resource that each person has – equally!
I never knew there was an international woman’s day. Where would we be without women?
