An expression in poetry regarding the Human Spirit in ALL of us!
All that I Am
I am as constant as clouds floating high overhead.
My concerns as deep as the oceans that ebb and flow upon our shores.
I am strong and durable, as constant as mother Earth whom I dwell upon … drawing strength from her very being which is a part of me.
I will not fail you,
But I will make mistakes,
… go a wrong direction
… go too many directions
… Be inappropriate in my actions.
And for all these I promise to rectify the wrong when possible, face my mistakes and learn so perhaps in the future these mistakes won’t reoccur.
So I ask for your understanding for all that I am not. And I ask for your blessings for all that I am – both the good and the bad.
… for I am as constant as the clouds floating high overhead. As strong and durable, constant and caring as the Mother Earth I dwell upon,
And my love for you is encompassed within
… All that I am!

This was very beautiful Penny thank you and thank you to Liz for posting it which is how I came across it. It is extremely powerful and evocative. And the pictures are lovely!
Thank you Susan. I wrote this quite some time ago on a day that seemed important to write the words down. I am so happy to share it now with others! 🙂
I had to sigh after reading this, Penny, simply beautiful and humble…and I hope relatable to how we all feel deep inside…much love and hugs to you!
Thank you Lauren, hugs and lots of love to you also. Have a wonderful holiday weekend my friend! xo
I think this is one of my favorite posts Penny. It really speaks to the humanness of us all, all our failings, all our triumphs, and most important, understanding and acceptance.
Thanks LuAnn, I wrote that one a long time ago on a day when I needed to express myself and then just filed it away until now! I’m glad you liked it my friend!
I loved this (came form little box of Books). It really resonate with me and lifted my spirits. Thank you. 🙂
Thank you so much Susan. I wrote this some years ago and am pleased to share it with others now. It was on the day I decided to stop taking myself quite so seriously and instead focus more on my what I was doing right than on what I might be doing wrong. So far so good! 🙂
Reblogged this on little box of books and commented:
Isn’t this great!
this one was sweet and meaningful, Penny. The wonderful thing is learning from mistakes. We’ve to first understand where we have gone wrong.. and is it even possible to rectify and not repeat the mistake? a lovely post
Thank you dear friend. Several parts to the whole – knowing you’ll make mistakes, understanding it’s a part of life, accepting and being ok with the mistakes and then of course learning from them! Thanks again Padmini!
Despite the human imperfection that we all carry with us – it is visible to me that your spirit is full of good & lots of love to share.
xx 🙂 🙂 xx
I do work at it lol! Nah, comes naturally. Nah, a combo of both with a lot of mess-ups connecting the whole thing. Thank you RoSy! 🙂 xo
so sweet and endearing my friend thank you for sharing!!
Hello Len, thank you, I wrote this quite awhile ago, nice to have it finally see the light of day, dear friend! 🙂 xx
Very nice words, and very nice you are too 😉
As are you Gys, and special also! 🙂
Wonderful Penny. Your poetry always says so much and touches our inner being.
Thank you Lyn, I really appreciate your compliment.
Another brilliant post Penny. I love the way you just come out with these powerful pieces. Thank you for sharing with us, and saying what is in all of us.
Your blog is on my Blogs I Read page http://kattermonran.com/blogs-i-read/blogs-t-u/
Thank you very much Alastair! 🙂
You’re always welcome my friend
Penny you are so good at this… I am awe struck by some of your posts that completely blow me away.. this being one of them…
Thank you Bulldog. Between you and me I wrote that piece years ago and just filed it away in a folder – until yesterday. So many years of making a living, raising a family that when I’d be creative, I’d write something and then file it away. I am so glad you enjoyed it, my very best to you to today and the coming week my friend!
Breathtaking Penny. It speaks to the frailty of what it means to be human, and then calls for acceptance and love – the unconditional sort — and the only true love (in my opinion)… say yes to it all – my friend you outdid yourself – and you are loved – no matter …
A fabulous image too sweet friend ~ Much Love today and always, Robyn
Much much love to you Robyn, hoping the start of your week is going well for you. Any positive inroads in your daily routine as the result of your learning curve recently (re: pain management)? I do hope so, sending lots of positive relaxing (and creative) energy dearest friend ~ Penny xo
