A very famous saying “You are what you think!” Most of us have heard that saying, in one form or another. It’s true. To a point. But …you are also what you feel. And sometimes your feelings take over before you’ve had a chance to think about what to do in an unexpected and emotional situation.
Today, definitely think a good thought and let it be your special guide for the day. Mine today is “brighten the space around me, by word, thought and deed”. So whether I stay at home or go out and about I will endeavor to make the space around me more pleasant, more welcoming to myself and those I encounter.
Now about the other part. “You are what you feel“. If something unexpected occurs to today, do your best to remind yourself, before emotions rule the day, that your thoughts are in charge of your emotions if you focus on this being so. Emotions are sneaky little devils that can come right into your thoughts and override good intentions you may have had. Stay the course, stay focused and you will be in control – of yourself and your attitude for the day.
