Regardless of your age.
Reading is always cool! One of the things I incorporate
into most of my days is taking a little time to read!
I have a book (or kindle) handy
while waiting for appointments or trips to the park.
Relaxing in the evening
with a good book, curled up in a chair is a treat for me.
Have you read a book lately?
Give it a try! A great way to unwind!

Have an excellent day today! ~ Penny
I love to read and cannot go to sleep at night without a book! Been this way for over 45 years now! Reading opens one up to whole new worlds and realms of possibilities! Lovely post Penny!
You are so absolutely correct with your wise words here about reading, Barb! Yes like you I started reading when I was 2 years old too, lol! Thank you, my friend! xx
xx back to you! 🙂 B
Reading is the coolest thing ever!! I do love to dabble in a book or two myself. I am on a quest to get down as many of my collection as possible by March (or so) next year. I do like a challenge.
Reading is my very favorite part of the day. I am amazed that I still encounter so many who do not enjoy this pastime.
[ Smiles ] I am always reading, Penny.
Nice article!
I always enjoy everyday reading a good book to educate the mind, and built a lot of imagination for the psyche. 🙂
Awesome poem. 🙂
Say, I just posted another new poem. It’s called: Moon crust acid (2045)
Thank you Charley! Have a great day today! 🙂
Reading is like traveling to foreign worlds in so many ways, isn’t it? Now to kindle or to hold the bound book in hand — that is the question! 🙂 Wonderful post dearest friend ~ x Robyn
I prefer holding a book (the whole experience of the thing, turning pages, etc), but sometimes for convenience purposes the ereader can have an advantage, like you I agree dear friend, on which to use. Thanks Robyn, xoxo
So funny Penny I about to go to the library I cannot live with out a book.
Good post we should read is so relaxing. Have a great day!
Hi Doris, well there you go. Great minds think alike, lol! Thank you, and enjoy your day and your book my friend! xx
Does reading a blog count?
xx 🙂 🙂 xx
Is it mine????? (I made you smile, I know I did!) Yes it totally includes blogs RoSy! Hope your Wednesday is being a really good one for you! 🙂 xo
Love this, but particularly that picture – it’s great 🙂
Me too. The picture is one of those “a picture’s worth a thousand words” shots! Thank you. 🙂
I read at least 3 books a month, and then I get a book as a present like today and read it within a day or two… love to read… taught me so much…
Why am I not surprised by that Bulldog. Not surprised at all. In fact, I’d have been surprised if you said you didn’t love to read! xx
A great message to spread Penny. I’m so afraid of being caught without a book or e-reader that I’ve put a reader on my phone!
[Windows Phone users check out Freda 2.4 – FREE]
I’m glad to hear your a wordoholic Mike, but of course you are! Thanks for the tip re: Freda 2.4, I’ll pass it on!
Superlike! Especially that they are reading with shades… and REAL books! Great pic, Penny!
Hi mj, I love the the shades and the “real books” too! xx
Being a textaholic means I cannot not read! The delight in being afflicted thus is only heightened when the text is coupled with my bibliophilism. Even instruction manuals engage and enchant. I know, I’m weird but knowledgeable 🙂
Ah Tez, the perfect combo as far as I’m concerned “weird and knowledgeable! 🙂 xx
i agree penny , im slowly again starting to read while its more for studies im doing currently but ya gives one a break from real world lol
It does Lisa, I agree. And today, boy do we need a lot of breaks! xx
absolutely hey!
lots love
Very true and I love reading. Only sometimes in the evening , my eyelids close while reading as I am so tired….. 🙂 I have always more time in the holidays!
Hello Ute, but just the most perfect way to fall asleep. Happens to me also! 🙂 xx
I always read for an hour in bed 🙂
Me too Alastair, it’s how I put aside the worries of the day. Getting lost in the world of someone else’s words! 🙂 xx
It is. What I like about the Kindle, especially with Pride & Prejudice, is that I can tap the word and have the definition in a second 🙂
That is a handy feature isn’t it! I agree! 🙂
Great photo! May I ask you where it was taken? I read every day too; couldn’t survive without it.
Hi Gabriella, Reading is wonderful isn’t it. I love the picture also, I’m not sure where it was taken but I can share with you where I obtained it! I have an online account with http://www.dreamstime.com, where for a few dollars you can buy the rights to “use” a photo or illustration from their extensive (10’s of thousands) of images by various artist/photographers. They also have a morgue file, free photos section where the photos are completely free for use in editorials, blogs, etc. (free informational type online sites) That location is http://morguefile.com/archive. Hope this information is some value to you, Penny.
Thank you for the tip Penny!
I can’t imagine a day without reading being a dedicated part. Thank you so much for the follow.
An excellent sentiment Penny.
I would think all of the wonderful bloggers we read each day are all great readers. There is so much wonderful literature out there to be engaged with.
