When I woke up this morning I had a small list of potential topics to write about, and a few posts already written. But as I sat in the early morning sun, cup of coffee in hand, birds singing, pets laying nearby, I realized that I just wanted to write something uplifting to add to your day, not take away from it, so for you ~ A reminder in the form of a poem, of how special you are and the difference you make in the lives of others!
Have a most lovely ~ day, evening and night, to awake renewed and refreshed in the ‘morrow, knowing that you have been thought of and are loved …
… Just for being you!

Yes I have been on a passenger jet but not I twin seated aeroplane, I wouldn’t mind doing so one day.
My father was a Liberator B-24 Officer Pilot during the war, in Burma. It must have been frightening for those young airmen but they did a marvellous job in very difficult circumstances.

That’s excellent that your father was a pilot also. I took a few lessons (single prop) and the feeling was unbelievable, I can’t imagine what it must have felt like when it included engaging with an enemy, but about being up in the air, fantastic words! I really enjoyed his poem. 🙂 xo

My father trained in Tiger Moths so I doubt if one can get any closer to the euphoric sensation than that, and I don’t think they always had a parachute either 😦 *gulp*
