Internet take me away, let virtual reality be my lover!

Of course I don’t mean this … of course I don’t … not really. Even if almost every single person I meet online in the blogging world is so darn wonderful. What’s up with that? It’s as if part of the criteria for become a blogger much less a Word Press blogger is to be cool, caring and talented too.

I can count on being entertained, informed and certainly having a caring and listening (figuratively speaking) ear when I blog or view YouTube, tweet on Twitter, post on Google+ or Facebook, plus all the other social media places one can go today to be creatively stimulated and cared for. I can certainly become engaged in a conversation and my day enhanced through beautiful sounds and sights and thoughts and ideas, written words, beautiful photographs, musical videos, and on and on.

I mean, my rescuing knight in shining armor really is one – online (well virtually speaking). Although, now that I think about it, I miss the white horse!

Well there you go, a beautiful while horse!

See, with our virtual world, it’s right there at our fingertips – fulfillment of a digital kind. Thank you, all you wonderful people in this online worldwide network of communications and connections! Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Yes, it is truly a blessing to have such an avenue to mingle and make friends, to be entertained and to entertain, to appreciate and be appreciated. And I so love the culture being nurtured here — there’s that culture of appreciation, caring for one another, and most of all that culture of respect. In this community, I don’t feel discriminated nor do I feel that there is some kind of a status or class. No one is above or below anyone as everyone is within reach. I exchange ideas with lawyers, doctors, scientists, educators, businessmen, mothers, fathers, students, builders, artists, musicians, and that lists goes on. What’s interesting is that it doesn’t matter that we all wear different hats. These hats are just but added features or shall we say characteristics we give to a character to spice up the story. We are all lost in the charisma and hypnotic beauty of this live drama that we are all participating in. But what’s more beautiful about this is that unlike fiction, this is not a make believe story. This is a story that is ongoing and happening in actuality. And we are not just sitting to be entertained for we are the very characters actively involved in this story we are all complexly writing.

Sorry to have consumed so much space, Penny. You’ve inspired me to write today. Thanks for your undying enthusiasm to inspire and extend care.

    • Hi Jake, all these things you say are true. All sorts of the types of demographics and other considerations that separate people – one from another, for the most part, don’t exist online, just who they are as people without any kind of attached “label”. I find it wonderful and endearing! And I love your comments, thank you so much for your wonderful words here, my friend! 🙂 xo

  2. I’m of a mind that most everyone has some creative potential. Those of us who find some way to express it know how healing it can be. This is a wonderful community.

  3. Beautiful image to go with the lovely post. I love my virtual world where i have a chance to meet with wonderful writers, poets and loving and sharing friends. Have a nice weekend.

    • Hello Indira, thank you. I’m rather attached to the image, it is so fanciful and imaginative, isn’t it? I agree with you about the wonderful people we meet (like you) have a great weekend also my friend! 🙂

  4. Hello Penny! 🙂 Here I’m again and again and again.)
I love this post , with kind words!
I don’t know if this make any sense, but I’m in love with `this` world inside the computer. I guess because everything is so much easier than in real life 🙂
    Again , I love this post 🙂

  5. A beautiful post, Penny.

I always think that the online world is an opportunity to disconnect the mind for a few hours from the stresses and strains of the real one.. but some aspects of human nature cannot be so easily disconnected.

    🙂 cheers! 🙂

    • It is those things and I think something more too, a new way of meeting and “knowing” others where a different set of criteria determines the level of interaction, much less the amazing array of original and creative thought that one encounters. Great isn’t it? 🙂

        • Yes, when you think about it, in a way, a new portal where the focus is of a different order of things! And the potential – personally I think the potential is simply unimaginable and I have an exceedingly well developed imagination … 🙂

  6. Dear Penny;

Love this post… In fact I do believe that there is a hidden power in that virtual world … I mean if you are clever enough (to speak a couple of foreign languages, mainly: english) and you are a general interested junkie, you can meet the best people in the whole world… I mean, I am from Argentina & I am talking /writing now with/to YOU for example, an awesome canadian writer, very intellectual who knows about japanese poetry and whose poems I do really like… I can keep some your general ideas in mind to struggle against the daily crowd, and those ideas help me … So you are a very special person for me even when I do not know you in person and probably we would never meet… And yet that virtual connection is “real” … That´s the best part: the virtual bond which have effects in your real life…

So grateful to know you online, which means now and here… So good to call you A FRIEND …

    Much love ; Aquileana 🙂

    • Aquileana, oops hit the send, did you get the comment with just your name on it? Thank you my friend. It is a small world and getting smaller by the minute, but I must correct you on where I live, my very special friend. While I do live in the Northwest of America, my home is in Washington State of the United States of America and I am about 6 and a half hours away from Canada, so not very far! Other than that, I agree with you completely, and who knows we may meet, stranger things have happened. And I might add it would indeed be a pleasure to meet you! 🙂 xo

      • Dear Penny…
        Aww, you are so sweet…
I am sorry about the mistake on the geographical location …I was sure you were canadian… Well I guess I should have looked to Counter Flag, meaning the widget on the right sidebar…(!!!)
And yes, I agree with you & also think it would be nice to meet you XOXO
Have an awesome friday my friend,

        Aquileana 😉

        • Thank you Aquileana! It doesn’t really matter, does it (the geographic location), but rather these wonderfully warm and affection relationships that we are establishing with each other.

You also have just the awesome-est Friday ever, much love to you!

          Penny 🙂

          • Awesome-est weekend for you… (oh, how I loved that superlative neologism you have used)…

Following your path: Sending you my Best- est wishes…
And & much love too; Penny

            Aquileana 🙂

Thank you for your thoughts!
