Who will you motivate today?

ice cold heart

It’s all about us, so it seems,

our problems, our worries, our dreams!

But what about others?

What about them?

And how can we help them achieve?

I’m only one person, you say,

no one will do things my way.

but that just isn’t so

and just so you know,

the difference you make

… indeed may! (make a difference)

I do know that one thing is true

Depending on just what you do,

Being brave, not afraid

And showing the way,

Is the best way of all TO BE YOU!

(who will you motivate today?)

.Everyone have the best week possible!

Take care of you,
~ Penny

  1. I too believe that the most effective way to motivate others is by the example we set, by how we live our lives, our compassion for others, treating all we meet with respect.

  2. A great inspirational post here, Penny… as usual it is a pleasure to read your posts … YOU do make a difference, PH 🙂

I do share your view in the sense that sometimes the toughest obstacles are the one we create …

Being brave not afraid, that´s the main sentence I´ll pick up here….
And also trying to be more open-minded regarding others… Because at the end everybody is unique , so I guess we all make a difference somehow…

    Many hugs; Aquileana 😉

PS: I like your little picture at the end and thanks for the +1 at G plus…
I´ve already noticed that you are quite shy out there but I know you meant to say: “Hey you Happy Birthday”… Well in your “own words” you did … At least I took it that way 😉 … I hope I am right !!!…

    • Thank you Aquileana. My nature is a shy one and yet (a dichotomy in that) I have enough strength of character, if need be, to take on just about anything. Thank you for noticing that aspect of me, that almost everyone misses (the shy part). And yes it most certainly did mean a big “Hey You Happy Birthday! Much love to you and I do hope your special day was the happiest ever, my very special and dear friend! 🙂 xo

  3. Hi Penny!
Today I spent part of my day sending thank yous & monetary awards though a program we have at work to co-workers & employees outside my department for work they have done to make my work life easier & pleasant. Gotta’ love a company that appreciates its employees & gives us the opportunity to add a few dollar signs to our simple thank yous.
    xo 🙂 🙂 xo

    • That’s just great RoSy. I am so very pleased that you are now working for a company that appreciates what you and your fellow coworkers do, just simply excellent! Meant most sincerely too. 🙂 xo

  4. Not sure about leading the way Penny, but if that implies being yourself and doing all you can to be a good you, then that may also be taken as ‘leading the way’, the example we set to others will hold us in good stead. My week is going well, so far…touch wood…hope yours is a treat for you.

    • I guess I didn’t mean so much leading the way as in being in charge but rather as you put it so well, being a good example for others to follow. Which you do exceedingly well my dear friend. Thank you Michael. xx

  5. do attempt to inspire and motivate people every week. I know I can’t help everybody, but I can help some. The same as you, Penny. You inspire. You make people smile. Just writing that made me think of Emili Sandé and Professor Green’s Read All About it 🙂

      • I noticed just now that when I deleted the first paragraph, I deleted the word “I” as well. Oops, Oh well you knew what I meant. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to continue with them now that I have left Facebook, but I have been given some links so I can keep going, thankfully. I have you to thank for that. I got the idea originally from you and another blog. Heh. So you definitely lead the way 😉

Thank you for your thoughts!
