We Hold The Future in our Hands!

“Life … Masterpiece from the Palette of our Universe!”

We are the recipients!

And…we need reminded of this!

I watched a movie once, “Blade Runner” (a favorite and a science fiction thriller, dark and foreboding of the future). There is a scene at the end of the movie where one of the characters says words that are so piercingly true that I’ve never forgotten them …

“Life lost  in time – is like tears in the rain”

The video below “reminds” us of life – it’s beauty and it’s value. You can hear the words (from the movie’s scene I am referring to) in the background. Please, please watch (just a few minutes) listen to the words, see the beauty and… be reminded!

What we do NOW counts. It matters. We make a difference. Let it be the right ones.

WE hold the future in our hands …

WE need to remind and be reminded … Again and again until we (all of us) understand what we already know in our heart of hearts!

All the tomorrow’s that will ever be, are being created even as I write this.

We are the ones deciding what life will be in our futures. Our choice, our choices have never been more important than they are today.

~

Consider this as you go about your day’s routine today: What is really important to you in life? What really matters? These are things to ponder and weigh in your heart.

We hold the future in our hands…”We hold the future in our hands

We, The Recipients of Life … hold the future – their futures … in our hands!

~*~

Thank you for stopping by, may your day be blessed with happiness and positive thoughts for our future, my friends,

  1. It’s really important to remind each other that we create and can significantly influence the world by our everyday actions. Let’s create beautiful things together that will make this place a better experience for all. Thanks!

  2. That is a big responsibility, I hope I do not drop the future…I see how these films go, there is a huge glacier moving at 200 miles an hour to NY and only the inept yet strangely fascinating can save the girl.

In all seriousness though (because I can do that and I did once) it is frightening thought to know we are creating the future…exhilarating sometimes and at others almost as if frozen in case the wrong decision is made…I know where I am going though, just a few niggles to sort through first. xx

    • It’s those darn “niggles” that get in the way for all of us I’ve noticed, SteJ! And to be honest. I don’t think we “humans” have a very good grasp on where we’re going (the future) because we’re moving just a tiny wee bit too fast with very few reasoned judgement calls happening first. Just my opinion of course! xx

      • That fills me with confidence given my own thoughts on the future haha! Seriously though, soon we shall be having this conversation over some sort of powerful coffee, as long as all goes according to plan. xx

  3. One of my favorite movies, of all time and forever. I cry each and every single time I watch it.

You are so very right. We do and should not run or hide from it. I continue to try hard to remind myself of this.

  4. It’s just after 7am here and this music made me drift off again. It was Sully, the little terrorist kitten attacking my foot brought me back to the now lol

I love Blade Runner. Always been one of my favourites. Rutger Hauer, Daryl Hannah, Harrison Ford, Brion James, Edward Olmos. All made a huge leap in their careers with this film. It also has the Millennium Falcon in one place.

I do like your message in this post. I hope you have a great rest of the week Penny.

  5. That movie is too scary for me to watch, but I liked those words, and I like this post and the video 🙂 May your days be blessed with joy and happiness too!! 🙂

    • Hi. I admit a very scary movie and the type of violence I abhor but the message is so well done. Thank you kindly, may your days also be filled with joy, love and happiness! 🙂 xx

Thank you for your thoughts!
