What If the snow fell in colors
and rainbows were shaded in gray
And the sun rose at night
and the moon in daylight
What would we do or say?
*
What if the fish took to flying
and all of the birds walked on land
and the wind didn’t blow
and flowers didn’t grow
but lay on the beach just like sand?
*
What if we frowned when we’re happy
What if we smiled when we’re sad
If everything changed
And was all rearranged
Would it really turn out to be bad?
*
Change seems to happen so often
It is hard to stay on the ball
Yet still it is so
we need change to grow
So I guess, I’ll go along with it all.
(I really would like the colored snowflakes, though!)

Love this!
It has somewhat of a Dr. Seuss feel to it too.

Thanks, just imagine how children would act (much less the child inside of us, RoSy) should the snow appear in colors. That would be incredible, I think! π xo
I would be a red snowflake – LOL
xo π π xo
Yes, you would and a magnificent one too! π xo
It would be amazing if snowflakes were colorful! I could walk out my door in the winter and discover a rainbow covering the ground! π
Indeed! π Wouldn’t that be a wonderful thing Barb? π xx
Snowflakes falling in colours.
That can never ever be bad
Like sharing food and drink
With people on the brink
Can make us happy and never sad.
Hi Alastair. I like your poem. I agree they would make us happy, unless the melting colors stained, lol! π
There’s always a downside. Darn those staining colours.
I really like this, I support those with cancer experiences and for me critical illness is all about shock and change, I would like the coloured snowflakes too!!
Thank you kindly. Shock does result in change, too true and to make a positive difference for others during those difficult times is a very caring and loving thing to do, thank you.
Coloured snowflakes would be lovely .. enjoy your day!
Hi Ute, Thank you. I am happy you agree with me. Have an excellent Friday and weekend too, my dear friend! xx
Something to think about.
It will be a miracle for the fishes to fly π of course we need change to grow π for the better
Yes, and if the growing part were just a little bit easier, that would be nice too, Yoshiko! π
Of course, Penny, if the growing part is a little bit easier will be better π
