“When a thing is right for all the wrong reasons
then it is surely wrong for all the right reasons
– and is there a difference in our natures,
we humans should be attending to?”
~ Penny L Howe, 2014
A great many words float about everywhere.
And photos and videos surely to spare.
quotes are abounding, good sayings so wise,
information is shared in all sorts of guise.
Then why am I troubled with all that there be,
Many bits and pieces – worrisome to me.
Too much, too much, my poor mind screams,
Can not take more – what does this mean?
It cannot be thought right to move at this pace,
We are advertising commercials filling all space.
Slow down, slow down, we really must pause,
For every effect, there is a cause.
I mean what I say but how can this be?
It’s easy of course, the blind cannot see.
Perhaps it is time to remove the artificial from our eyes and look to one another for that which is needed, so that all of life (including us) can survive and thrive!

I know what you mean Penny. If we were to slow down, quiet ourselves, and open our eyes, I believe our hearts would also open. 🙂
Beautifully spoken, LuAnn and absolutely true! 🙂
I know exactly what you mean…. Turn off the noise already!
Totally – It’s screaming at us (okay we’re probably doing our share too, but still …). It would be better for all of us, truly!
Too many of us humans floating around with perfectly good sight – yet so blind.
xo 🙂 🙂 xo
It is sad isn’t it? So much good inside too, RoSy! 🙂 xo
You make many smiles arise inwardly and outwardly Penny!
Happy for your smiles and pleased you understood the message of my words, Wendell! 🙂
Very entertaining way of looking at it, and for asking all to open their eyes. If we all opened our eyes, the world would be a much better place.
Yes, we are in agreement Alastair. It would be, indeed! 🙂 xx
Wouldn’t it be nice. It would also be nice if we could see from someone else’s perspective for a day. Hmmm. I may just write down my day at one point and blog it. Nah, people would be bored to tears hehe
No they wouldn’t, Alastair. You know now that I think about it I wonder how many of us do truly write our pure thoughts down, or alter them slightly to be more agreeably received. I plead guilty to this some times.
I think we all do. Sometimes we don’t want to see the side that we keep hidden.
Brilliantly beautiful and lyrical. I enjoyed it to the last.

Yea, Penny, I can feel overwhelmed in this era
I think it holds true for all of us Yoshiko, sadly true!
That is the current society
