Another short one, but loving and being loved does feel that way, don’t you think? Remember that being grateful is also a big part of the recipe for happiness. Everyone have an excellent Friday and weekend coming up!
Hope you and your family had a lovely weekend Penny. We just returned from the mountains of Colorado, attending a niece’s wedding. It was lovely but it is good to be back in civilization, with cell service and wi-fi.
I like your quotes, Alastair. Was a great weekend here, sending big hugs back to you and your excellent children (young adults, I should say – well almost, lol)! π xx
They are getting too old. I may need to pin them down and stop them from ageing. Isn’t the English language odd. If there is an e on the end of a word, then you drop the E to add ing. Except with ageing where it is kept.
A bit like:
The unsinkable, sunk
The undrinkable, drunk
The unthinkable, thought?
Hi Penny. I think love can be complicated and doesn’t always work out the way we thought it was going to, and that can actually be quite heartbreaking. I think being single and single minded can sometimes be much better for one’s health.
True, but I was referring to love of all things Sandra. Or receiving love not only from humans but also from animals. It was universal love I was speaking of, which I believe you are familiar with and your wonderful little pals π xo!
Hi Penny. Oh yes, animal love is great. I recently had a bad brief experience where the L word is concerned. Although it was brief in comparison to other experiences, it did leave a mark, that needs to be erased. In general love is a great thing, but specifically it may unfortunately not be so great. Just happy to stay my quirky single self. Much better for me.
Hi Penny, that’s awesome. Thank you for you kind words. Much love to you. I figured, if someone doesn’t love me for every bit of my quirky/unconventional self, then not changing, but remaining single, is the best thing I can do for myself. Maybe forever.
Hi Ute, I can feel your love from here Ute, it must have attached itself to a strong wind, LOL! Thank you dearest friend, and many hugs to you as well as my love!
Hello there Horty, thank you so kindly for your reblog and a most happy weekend to you, dear and special friend who is enjoying beautiful weather (on the beach?) and I am most envious of same! π xx
Effervescence – what a great word. perhaps being the essence that comes before effort. thanks for the fun thought inspiration today. have a great weekend! π mikey
Hi Mikey, thank you. Yes. A bubbly kind of feeling that can accompany that “real good” feeling one get’s inside, oh you know what I mean! π The best weekend to you also! π
Hello Yoshiko and thank you so much. Am most appreciative and grateful for your friendship and love, dear friend, of which same is returned to you in full measure! π

Sounds most beautiful, LuAnn – and remote! Happy you’re back midst civilization dear friend! π Yes, a wonderful weekend here, too.
That’s awesome Penny. I was going to put a quote on here, but I keep doing that LOL.
