It’s Sunday here in Northwest America and there is nothing, I’ll repeat this, nothing that can beat curling up in a comfortable spot with a good book. In my case, the more mysterious and filled with adventure the better! Can’t talk more, my book is waiting for me.
Have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday. Pick up a good book and read. It will do wonders for you, I promise!
With much affection and do remember to take care of you,
~ Penny
Oh – look – I’m on this week FINALLY!
xo 🙂 🙂 xo
You amaze me RoSy, I am in awe of your taking this time for me and my words and I am very humbled and grateful as well! 🙂 xo
I love a good book! Have been an avid reader since 4th grade which was when I joined my first book club!
Books are wonderful, aren’t they, Barb. I’m not surprised to hear you love them also, dear friend. Have a joyful and positive week ahead, sending lots of love you way! xx
Sending love right back to you! Hugs! ^..^
AnElephantCant argue with Penny
Who is so wise and lovely as a song
But if she thinks a book is the bestest
Then AnElephant guesses
Darling Penny is doing something quite wrong
Actually I’d put it down to having lots of opportunities for reading and no opportunities for a few of the other pleasures of life! ox
Hi penny. Happy reading. Hope you enjoyed. My daughter gave me four new books, going to start one. Take care. Have a nice time.
Hi Indira. And your enjoy your reading as well, my friend!
:-).
I am reading a good fantasy book at the moment – Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson. It’s the start of a series. A friend gave it to me for Christmas in 2011, and I have only recently started reading it. What are you reading right now?
I like Steven Erikson, a good writer. Well, in case you haven’t figured it out I read 3 or 4 books at a time. Right now – the very latest multimedia marketing book, won’t share the name as I’m not sure I like it yet. One I am happy to share “How To Handle Trouble – A Guide to Peace of Mind by John Carmody. An absolutely excellent nonfiction inspirational book and as for my fiction, I am reading Peter F. Hamilton’s The Reality Dysfunction! I should say rereading it. An outstanding Sci-Fi Trilogy, if a bit heavy, but oh so good!
Nothing wrong with heavy books. I have read a few of Greg Bear’s books and they take some getting through, especially Eon and Eternity where they go into singularities and hexadecimal stacks and … lots of other bits hehe.
Enjoy your book! 🙂
Thank you Ute, and you enjoy your Sunday evening. Have a great week ahead! hugs to a dear friend (that’s you!)
Good book does wonders towards my hearts and minds 🙂
Yes it does. Most definitely, Yoshiko!
🙂 How many books do you read, Penny, in a day?
Well it depends on the day, of course, but I average at least 5 a week. I’ve read since I was 4 years old. Because I couldn’t hear much (until I was 12 yrs old) so I lived in the word of books and words. So my rate of reading and comprehension is fairly substantial. And even after I got my hearing I’ve continued to love reading to this day!
Wow 😀 amazing testimony
Yes, actually my mom insists it was a miracle when I got my hearing. The doctors just scratched their heads and weren’t sure how it happened. I think my mom got it right. The night before (in the hospital, I was going to have surgery on one of the ears) I prayed so very hard Yoshiko, In the morning I woke up with perfect hearing. This is a true story.
Great 🙂 to hear that you receive perfect hearing. Why don’t you, Penny, write a testimony on this?
I have shared, over the years, much. My life has been a miracle as I have survived repeated close calls. I’d have to be pretty dumb not to figure out something special was wanted from me. I give love to all and nurture where I can Yoshiko. I stay humble (with reminders) and grateful for each day that passes. I do know I am guided and accept same willingly!
I see. May I know what are your survived repeated close calls?
Oh Yoshiko, they really are quite overwhelming my friend. But I’ve survived and it has made me very strong of will!
Oh 😦 very painful incidents
Yes, but one carries on with the life they’ve been blessed to receive, Yoshiko. Never forget this – not for a second!
Thank you for your encouragement amidst your difficult life.
My pleasure Yoshiko, and my life is a good one and I am very happy with it, my family and friends, such as you! 🙂
😳 . . . Thank you, Penny, for being a friend to me ☺️
May I have your URL on your this testimony? Thanks, Penny 🙂
If it is of help to you, you may have and use any of my words, Yoshiko they are all true, as my family would be happy to attest. Most especially my children who were there – though very young through much of these.
Thank you, Penny
