I’ve seen eternity in the night
Cosmic night winds fiercely fight
shielding eyes from radiance bright
As all I’ve feared, flings from my sight
~
While round beneath in days and years
life survives familiar spheres
and I, I am reduced to tears
~
For now that I celestial be
My universe has set me free
Still part of Earth’s reality
With cosmic time’s duality
I have my immortality

Happy Weekend everyone, have a great one!

I love this poem Penny. It makes me think of a God or a universe looking down and seeing with sadness the world as it is, and what it could have been.
Thank you Alastair! This poem just came out of the blue, I couldn’t write it down fast enough, like someone was standing behind me dictating – love when that happens. I feel a great connection to well … life I guess! 🙂 xo
I love those poems. Although it has been a while since I have written one, and a while since I have written in my book as well. There’s something missing at the moment. Maybe after the new year it will come back.
The night as an emblem is an inspiration , and your writing here is inspired, indeed.
Thanks, I don’t say this often but I’m rather proud of that poem. It is how I feel inside about life and the universe and so on. 🙂
I can certainly understand how you would be. It’s outstanding.
