Keeping Promises – Very Important!

But what about those little promises you made to you?

Boutanier

As the year draws to a close, it is often a time for reflection, thinking about what’s been accomplished … and what hasn’t. For many of us we’ve been busy on behalf of others; our family, our friends,ย our work, our community and so on.

What about the promises we made to ourselves? With the new year – 2015 just around the corner, perhaps you can rethink things. Set out with a positive attitude where you make a little more time for you and your personal goals.

And remember – it’s often true that when one takes time for his or herself, they become renewed with more positive energy to be shared in turn, with others.

A most wonderful and HAPPY NEW YEARย to all of you, my friends. Those I know and those I’ve yet to meet.

With much affection,

Penny

    • Thanks Susan. I’ve been there, done that scenario in my life (and I’m guessing you’ve also had your share of experiences there) so being positive absolutely the way to go. You are correct! A very happy New Year. May it bring you many good things! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Thanks for these perfect words, Penny, especially as the year is coming to an end. They are a great start to 2015 and I loved the third paragraph. Such truth! Have a Happy New Year, my friend! xo

    • Thank you. Life comes at us so fast at times that we are just not as well prepared (if at all) as we would want to be. A positive word can sometimes help. I’m pleased if my words were of some value and support to you. You have an absolutely excellent year ahead, my friend, filled with lots of good things! xx

    • I hear you. And am very happy to know you take time for yourself, Lulu. My pleasure (sincerely) to promote a positive attitude for others. In my past, positive support would have come in handy, so I appreciate it all the more now! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you, so much Alejandro. I appreciate you and your friendship, more than you know. Take care of you and a wonderful Happy New Year for you and your family. (including your most excellent dog!)

      • I will be taking a break from blogging after the Photo of the Year voting is over. Not sure how long for, and not sure if I will keep the Haibun and Sunday Photo Fiction pages going at the moment. I just have no time for anything at the moment, and I need to try to make some time for me. If I am not doing housework or something like that, I am sat in front of the laptop reading blogs or trying to write. I take half the photos a month I used to. I have gone from over a thousand a month to 400 if I am lucky. So I need a break, and I have been blogging for over ten years now, with the last three years almost without a break. Just three weeks in August last year. I need time.

Thank you for your thoughts!
