Precious Moments ~ The Golden Elixir of Our Lives!

As we pass through our days, if we but notice, there are those special moments – perhaps visual, a spoken word, a deed, a song, a feeling.

Each releasing within us a golden elixir. Magical miraculous and perhaps a little mysterious. They tend to be fleeting, these precious moments …

Don’t Hide the Beauty of Your Loving Soul!

“Hey, whatcha’ hiding under there?”

Your soul is beautiful. Don’t hide it under the shell of your physical body!

Come out and shine. Be brave, live life, make a difference for yourself and others. Even as you know there will be bad mixed with the good, at least you’re out there being a part of life! Your life!

And that matters. A Lot. It matters to you, and to those you care about who care about you. Whether you believe this or not! It’s true. Trust me on this one.

The Exercise Our Pets Do better than We!

“… Exercise your “forgiveness” muscle every day!” PennyQuote

Our animals seem to have it down pat. We still need to work on this exercise – a whole lot more!

Unconditional love … yeah … that’s the ticket!

Have a great weekend everyone! Filled with lots of love (and forgiveness)!

Who will we throw away tomorrow?

Throw Away Society

I first posted this last fall. Some things bear repeating!

We are the definitive “throw away” society. I include myself, as I am in that group as well. We compose approximately 18 to 25% of the people on the planet. The other 75-82% may/will go without food, sanitary water, clothing, shelter. More than 5 billion if you’re into numbers.

So as I was saying, we are the throw away society. It is so very easy.

The interesting thing is we do this mostly without conscious thought of our actions. It is just what we do. Quicker, Easier, More convenient and so on. The value of what we eat, drink, wear, or where we reside is secondary to our convenience. Isn’t that interesting? A way of life. Just throw it away, replace as needed. Just about everything is expendable, price not withstanding.

We throw away life too. Another interesting thing. Also done without much thought. If certain criteria aren’t met, it seems the simple thing is to remove those (from your lifestyle) who interfere with the mode of “quicker, easier, more convenient methodology. And the rationalization used for being a “throw away” society stretches the bounds of incredibility.

I’m thinking included in this group can be the elderly, the poor, children, families experiencing a life altering transition in life (loss of income, illness or the death of a family member for example), those who may be viewed as handicapped or disabled in some way, minority groups or those who may not think the way you do, a country that isn’t up to speed yet as a throw away consumer themselves, animals, living plants and trees of the planet that are vital for keeping the ecological system running smoothly.

There, that’s about it. Thought you might like to know. But I do wonder? Who will we throw away tomorrow … or more to the point what will we do when we run out of things to throw away?

A Best Friend ~ your dog!

Aren’t dogs wonderful? They can be your buddies and your protectors. There was one in my life that was more than a little special! He went where I went, and was just about the best friend to have around when I needed cheering up or a snuggle.

He’d also, on his own, go over and gently bite the hand of any man I was dating that would put his arm around me. (he was jealous) I thought it was sweet. The gentlemen in question, not so much. Since Rook (pronounced like the ‘oo’ in root) was a German Shepherd, weighing in at 95 lbs and a trained “protection” animal, most people took him seriously.

I bought him and trained with him from a special security place when he was a year and a half old, to keep myself and my little ones safe. After a few years, we were the best pals ever and he was a part of our family. And he proved his worth on several occasions!

If you have a dog, take him or her for a walk today. Give them a special treat from me and a great big hug because it is true … sometimes …

The Illusive Illusion of Love … and it’s true nature!

Men fall in love with me, you know. Yes they really do. I began to notice it quite young, and had no idea of what to do with it either, or even why they felt those feelings for me, the way they did. I never saw myself as having LOVING COUPLE IN THE MOON LIGHT by Adyoothose specific type of feminine attributes that most men find alluring.

I suppose I made it easy for them to love me, though, as I loved them back with all my heart, listening attentively to each word, pleasing in any way I could be, and then waiting to be received and treated in a like manner.

And I wondered when that didn’t happen, why? Some lacking in myself, I initially thought and believed for some considerable period. I didn’t understand at the time you see.

But life moved on and so did I, and being a shy but inquisitive soul I explored life more fully and discovered women loved me too, and so did children and animals, even plants thrive around me. Even nature’s wild animals have approached me, and I have pondered the why of this also.

What is it that I project that appears to be appealing to all life forms? (on an interesting side note, there is a small handful of individuals who strongly dislike me when meeting, the hairs on the back of my neck actually stand up and I wonder about the nature of their negative vibrations – spooky that!)

Could it be that what emanates deep from within my soul, and radiates outward, that which is stronger than any other thought, feeling, emotion, sensation I may have – is my pure love of all things living.

And when I am with and around any and all life I embrace it fully. I know of no other way to approach life than by loving it. All the parts and pieces of it, shapes and sizes, actions and causations. It is the “who, that I am”!

I’ve always felt this way. As a small child, a growing youth, an adult. So after years of exploration and experimentation and experience, I ask the question, if all that I say be true … Is love an illusion manufactured in an overly imaginative mind, or the primeval essence of what all life is really about. Is the true nature of love far more than we mortals think it is, and are life’s experiences just varying degrees and shades of this force of nature.

I lean towards the second. I believe really living life is loving life. And because I love living, life loves my living of it – and loves me in return! So “take that” all your scholarly type psychoanalysts and sociologists and make what you will of it! When all is said and done – it works for me!

The answer to my blog’s title THE WHY ABOUT THIS – Because you are loved!!!
