The Artist

By Karpati Gabor2The Artist Creates

Regardless of age, situation or circumstance, the artistic quality shines through when an artist creates. How glorious to partake of the view from an artistic eye. How wonderful to enjoy the amazing beauty and fulsome imagination an artist presents.

Whether art be produced with pallet, brush and paint, by camera, music notes, the written word, or other creative rendering, an artist produces because he or she must and we the audience view their reflections of life because we equally must.

“To partake of beauty from the artistic soul

is to enhance our own awareness and understanding

of who we are and what we are capable!”

Tilting his head back as far as it would go he strained his neck, looking at the magnificent staircase. Stunning just stunning!

His nature to do so, he stands in quiet contemplation. His thoughts, the probable mentality of the architect drafting this design – an amazing masterpiece. Stair steps spiraling one above the other, on and on, seemingly without end.

With a change of perspective and attitude, his gaze turned to the items he had brought.

Painful reality, Ah yes. With a weary but determined set to his shoulders he gives a huge sigh and reaches down. Worn hands picking out needed items, he thinks one final thought about the architect – his newest nemesis. There certainly hadn’t been any consideration given as to who or how someone would be cleaning the thing.

A brief note here: When I first published this, the story was from the perspective of a female cleaning lady. But the more I thought about it, it seemed to me that it would play even better with a man in the role (a janitor type of personality), so I rewrote the original version to the one you see now!

Thank you,

My own photography

I do use a variety of both photographs and graphic designs in my posts. Most of them, (like the one) above are from the archives of a morgue file from a professional firm that specializes in photographs, graphic designs and illustrations. www.dreamstime.com

However I do sometimes take my own photographs and when I was a student at Penn State University it was a hobby, so I had a darkroom and the whole thing. Seriously into photography at that time. After that life intruded and I went in different directions with my art form.

But today I would like to share a few photos I took just a few months ago while visiting the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco! This is the type of architectural beauty that one can’t resist. So without further ado. A few of my favorite shots.

IMAG1915-1I was fascinated by the shadows with this one!

More shadows but I also really enjoyed the setting!

I really love the goddesses in this one, aren’t they noble looking?

And of course these incredible columns behind the Goddess, just amazing!

IMAG1919

The entrance and my favorite!

Hope you enjoyed,
