A Message From The Universe

image

We all have tough days. Where regardless of how positive you are with your mindset, things keep going wrong.

I was having one of those days recently when the most fascinating thing happened. But let me back up a bit and share what led up to the moment.

So a series of “OMGosh can the day get any crazier” things having occurred, I sat down at my desk completely exhausted, weary and frustrated, after being interrupted for the zillionth time and happened to look up at my small bookcase. On the shelf I have 3 balanced rocks. Being a rock lover, I enjoy balancing various ones at different times. These are small rocks I’ve had for some time.

The thing is, as I viewed them in that moment I saw something I’ve never noticed before. The shape of a small heart located in the right corner of the bottom rock. How cool is that?!

image

I must have stared at the heart for 5 minutes (at least). For me it was definitely a message from the universe letting me know I was loved and things would be okay. So needed in that moment and the rest of my day passed uneventfully.

Just too cool and had to share! ♡

Have a great weekend.

Always with sincere affection,
Penny

On Becoming Lost …

“Be careful not to get lost in your own life by trying to followtoo closelythe lives of others.” ~Plh

So very easy to get caught up in events, situations and circumstances of those around us.

It is important to care and be involved. It’s equally important to recognize when you’ve become so involved that you are neglecting yourself and your own well-being.

Stay balanced and healthy my friend!

Have a happy week and as always … take care of you!

Why You Should Hurry up and Slow Down!

image

You should try sitting still – for just a few minutes every day – rest your body & mind and while you’re sitting there, try reflecting on the WHY of what you do every day. You may surprise yourself with some of your answers.

image

We live in a crazy hurry up world. And its not slowing down. But you can. All that’s needed is a little bit of preplanning to remove from your life whatever isn’t helping right now, be it an activity, certain thought processes, or a person.

1. Activities – Anything you do that is done out of habit, and not necessary or helpful to you, think about letting it go.

You might also consider the amount of time you spend with social media, just sayin’.

If you are constantly called upon to do favors for others, who don’t reciprocate in their turn, regarding your needs, start saying no to them. Doing things for others is nice, but can be very time consuming (this includes family members).

2. Worries – If you spend a fair amount of time worrying about things then it’s time to make a list and see which of those worrisome things you can actually do something about. Effort on your part will be required, but the end result is you’ll have less things to worry about.

3. People – There are people out there with poor attitudes and an overall negative outlook on life. You don’t need these people around you. They’ll go out of their way to tell you what you’re doing wrong or what’s wrong with you or someone, or something you care about.

Dump them. You don’t need them or their negativity. And chances are they’re also one of the items you spend time worrying about so you’ll have removed two things that take away precious time, a person(s) and an item on your worries list (this also includes family members).

image

Bottom line here is value yourself highly by BALANCING your needs with time spent. If you aren’t good to yourself, those you do care about will suffer – as will you.

Thank you for stopping by, have a great time saving day!

To Think Well and Prosper in your Life!

We get so wrapped up in life we forget it is as simple as we wish it to be. There will be both sadness and happiness, good things and bad things happening in our lives. But we decide how each will ultimately affect us.

As the New Year approaches, think of yourself as a vessel filled with potential (because it is). Think not of your disappointments (though they are there) think of your successes (they are there too.)

Life

I am that I am

no more, no less than it seems

I live, I love, I am

haiku by PL Howe ©

I encourage you to consider the raw capability you have inside you. You’ve but to activate it, through your creative process of positive thinking and determination.

And one more thing …

“The complexity of life decreases when balanced with thoughtful consideration and action.” ~ P

A most excellent and wonderful New Year to you,

Have you been flexing your imagination lately?

Your mind needs nutrition from many types of sources. One is experience, you know the “hands on” learning type of thing. Another is from performing daily responsibilities in life. And ideally your experience and responsibilities learn to coexist in a comfortable relationship as you become wiser through the doing.

Of course, as we know life isn’t quite that simplistic. We fall down and often no one is around to kiss our “boo-boo’s” to make us feel all better.

This  is where imagination comes in, belonging right there in the mix of hopes, dreams and wishes. We need imagination as a form of mental nutrition/stimulation too. (Some of our past and present geniuses ‘genii’ have often referred to imagination as being exceedingly beneficial in their own works.)

Our imagination allows us to be free from within and often its liberating on the outside too.

So use your imagination, I recommend at least one teaspoon of “magic potion” (your imagination) a day for optimal health!

Have fun dreaming! In your imagination you rule!

Finding Balance in your life

balance

In each of our lives balance can be difficult to achieve, something which nature seems to accomplish quite easily; but then she’s had many millennium to practice. We’re just beginners when it comes to managing our life in an orderly manner. But there are a few (proven) things that might help.

Achieving balance in you life is more easily accomplished by taking the time to do a little critical thinking.  Determine what (in your life) you need to do, and where you need to be, in order to feel fulfilled and happy. And then do exactly that. Follow through with action on the instincts felt by your heart. They’re usually the sound ones. And science now has proven that the brain listens to heart more than the other way around!

Your sense of balance will come when you’ve realized your heart’s goals! Yes it will. After necessary financial needs are met, spend a portion of each day with life around you. Open up your senses.

Experience anew people, animals, plants, all things living. You will be pleased and surprised at the difference you will feel. In fact you will find yourself desiring to make a positive difference for others as a natural progression of your lifestyle and you will find it to be extremely heart gratifying.

Remember, all life is connected, so our balance and happiness can spread to others. It has been proven that the more we act on loving instincts, the happier and more fulfilled we find not only ourselves, but also those around us.

Give this some thought, have a great day today and a better one tomorrow,

A Positive Way to balance your life!

dreamstime_xs_34269548

The words and mentality of “being negative” are used too much. To feel sorry for ourselves, to think poorly of our “situation”. To play the blame game with others. Looking for the “wrongs” in the world (not the rights) and in general setting us up for a long term negative outlook on our tomorrows. But this is today … so …

Number One – Look out your personal window (view of life) and make a list of everything you currently do have. Start with essentials like a roof over your head, food and clothing, modern plumbing. (the things many of those who do have – take for granted – and just to remind you, those who go without are most of the humans on the planet)!

Number Two – What “Do” you like about you. Anything that comes to mind. Your friendly personality. Your love of animals. The way you can solve puzzles. Your love of reading, or gardening, anything (at all) about who you are and what you do, that you like – about yourself. Don’t go negative here.

Number Three – What you like (love) that is most likely within your view, nearby. Be inclusive. Nature, life, trees, plants (flowers) Water, mountains, people, kids, old folks, food. Make this list as long as you want.

Number Four – Now write, but only about the things you’ve listed! From the heart! You are not allowed to think any negative thoughts, like what’s wrong with you, what you don’t have, what you can’t do, what you don’t like (we tend to do that all day) this exercise is to remind and balance our minds!

Number Five – Be grateful!

Life is Simple

I am

I feel

I exist

I care

I do

I live

I love

I am

.

Have a good day today,

Friday Fictioneers – The Yin and Yang of Foam

PHOTO PROMPT – Copyright – Madison Woods

The Thing About Foam!

Foam, the essence of yin and yang.  Occurring in nature, foam can be a part of creation or found at its decomposition at the end of life. Foam produced from soap gives one the feeling of cleanliness and health, while foaming at the mouth is considered a symptom of disease.

An exceedingly popular foam is found at the head of things a’top a perfectly poured mug of beer. The pouring  and procurement of said “head” an art in and of itself, alluding to the fulfillment of taste in the brew itself. All in all a most satisfactory balance to life.

An amazing opportunity – YOU!

 ALONE by Hasenonkel

Okay, so unofficially, I’m “officially” back. What this ‘playfully’ means is originally, I’d not intended to blog until completing current projects, but even as I worked towards this goal, I discovered my connections to people online have become an important part of my day’s activities. Like brushing my teeth, only more fun. Therefore I will endeavor to blog and visit (as I can) while continuing on with other projects.

There’s a saying – busy people get more things done and I do understand this – a truth actually. When we’re busy we tend to boost our “thinking and doing” power, our mind subconsciously organizes things more efficiently so we can stay “on focus” with our tasks.

Right now, as I write this, It’s early Sunday morning. I’ve had my first cup of coffee. Listened to the birds singing. It’s cooling down now, mornings and night. Autumn is here. And I love each Seasonal change!

While enjoying my hot morning beverage, I considered how lucky I’ve been to find YOU. You light up my world. You remind me (daily) what I’ve known my whole life. That we ALL – have value, are fun, special and unique, There BUSINES MORNING CONCEPT. COFFEE CUP, NEWSPAPER AND REMINDER by Maxxyustaswill of course always be the sour apples, and the confused and misguided, but by and large, almost everyone brings a special “something” to the mix.

This makes being online, and blogging a most excellent “on-going” opportunity. To make new friends from everywhere around the planet. To make the “world” smaller, where we are all metaphoric neighbors, where we truly are a community of loving people – WHO CARE. This is an awesome opportunity, statistically speaking “we” (you and I) are in a very small percentage of the whole number of people who live on our planet.

The majority of our fellow humans cannot read or write and their living conditions may be harsh and brutal. But we “who are communicating online” are speeding up the change happening on our planet. We are doing this (each day) by blogging what we are doing, by making friends, by understanding each other better, by connecting.

All by itself – this is changing how we view each other across the globe and this in turn engenders how we feel about things. And what we share with those who do live nearby. Our context is expanded. Our knowledge and understanding more universal, our ability to look at change, a little bit easier.

When a person is troubled, knowing they are not alone, can be all it takes for them to become empowered, to move forward, making a difference as they do so. Even in the smallest of ways. A ripple can become a wave after all. For the first time EVER, there is a growing world-wide community that is not exclusively bound by government mandates, localized secular and/or religious beliefs (I refer to the POWER aspect of these organizations, not the important and cohesive structures of each one – needed for us to be (somewhat) civilized.

We are meeting and sharing (thoughts, ideas, and images – some spiritual, some creative, some personal) and while we respect each other’s faith and the underlying traditions that have shaped each of our “peoples” progress forward, we’re discovering there is a sameness and commonality to our thoughts and concerns. We are becoming more balanced in our outlook!

As we connect we begin to realize (everywhere on this planet) that we are each more alike than not. And now being instantly connected and somewhat unfettered by the power of propaganda, whether it be “news media” or the powerful 3: ‘Big Business’ ‘Government’ and ‘Organized Religion’ we are getting to know each other at a fundamental and basic level. And we like what we’re learning. Without a doubt this represents for us (all humans) …

… an amazing opportunity! Isn’t it wonderful? I think so!

Have an excellent day, thank you for stopping by,

~ Penny
