The Magic of Being – You!

Who?

Being You

“Take nothing for granted.

So magical is your … being!

A wonderment we exist.

Amazingly mysterious,

ethereal yet tenacious life,

the most

unfathomable creatures

are we, truly

and I, for one, revel

in the miracle of

… all that I am,

that you are – but mostly

the fact of our (life’s) existence

the very essence of our being …

truly magical – yes, yes we are!”

If Your Heart is In Your Dream

How many times in your life have you heard someone say derisively, “you dreamer, you” or “get your head out of the clouds, stop dreaming”.

I’m thinking the most important thing to remember is the DOERS in life all had a dream before they had either a plan or began “doing” for themselves. They dreamt about what they wanted to accomplish and then made it happen; someway, somehow. You need look no further than the hundreds of thousands of quotes by leaders, scientists, philosophers, artists and so on. They had the dream first!

Helen Keller, 1880-1968

Helen Keller comes to mind. Here was a woman, who as a small child, became ill and was struck deaf, blind, and dumb. An unteachable wild child living in emptiness and darkness. But one person, Ann Sullivan, had a dream. Ann dreamed and believed she could help Helen learn to communicate – and she did.

She taught an unteachable child to communicate, and the child learned. And from there, the child developed a dream of her own. To become educated and make a difference in life, and she did. She became well educated and went on to live a happy and purpose filled life. The odds were completely against both of them and it was hard, really hard. But they believed their dreams and pursued until the dreams became reality.

There are so many, many excellent examples of people who had a dream and went on to do great things that they are legend, just two amazing examples are Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi. No need to discuss what they accomplished, you already know.

So the next time you hear someone call you a dreamer, dismiss it. After all, you’re too busy dreaming and imagining your future and what you will achieve.

When You Wish Upon A Star
*
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
*
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
Like dreamers do
*
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing
*
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and pulls you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dream comes true*
*
Dream on fair readers, dream on, let no one stop your dreams from becoming reality.

Your Lightness of Being!

IMG_3291

“The level of lightness in which you carry life’s burdens
is in direct proportion to your level of happiness and contentment.” ~ P

~

So lighten up, already.

If there’s not a lightness to your step and laughter in your voice as you go through your daily activities. If there’s no time to feel a sense of wonder within yourself , life and others around you, then you’ve overburdened yourself. Let go of that which is really not important. And it’s for you to decide what that might be.

And  know this. It’s your life. You decide how you will carry the burdens for which you’ve made yourself responsible. But remember, if as a result you’re unhappy, the burdens will become intolerably heavy and eventually you will be unable to carry on. There is no happiness when one feels overwhelmed with life.

A balancing act, yes it is. But as in all things there is much joy when happiness is the fulcrum balancing responsibility and self fulfillment!

Be happy, be fulfilled, be contented. Know yourself and your capabilities. Even a strong person asks for help when needed. No need to carry the world on your shoulders. Leave that job to Atlas!

Once you’re okay then you can take care of others.

It’s Your Life – Dance for it!

You are alive. Every day of your life whatever you do or don’t do. Your life belongs to you, so I’d like to ask you:

\

~

… Are you dancing?

… for the joy of it,

… for the love of it,

… for the beauty of it,

Because you are living it?

~

Dance to the music in your soul!

Dance to the rhythm in your heart!

Don’t fight it, embrace your life … Dance!

Thank you,

Savor the moments in your life!

dreamstime_xs_12812299

Do You?

Savor the moments?

You should … you know! They help sustain us. Savoring things make the day brighter, richer, stronger, better and help give us the ability to sustain ourselves, just by savoring a special moment or occasion.

And for those of us who have someone to savor with – life is even sweeter. And if the hug you extend to someone (in that moment) is returned with hesitancy, that’s okay too. Trust me on this one, it is still much appreciated by the person receiving it, even if it does not appear this way. Some are better are expressing their emotions than others. But all are needful … all!

So do remember, as you embrace life – ‘savor’ and share as you can, but ingest into your own heart the full and true richness of life that exists everywhere!

Savor the moments,

Have an excellent weekend my wonderful friends,

A Reason for Being!

By wintersixfour

“If you ever doubt your own reason for being –

Intelligence – is the light that must never be allowed to go out!

Even during the pure existence of doing and learning – thinking and being,

each of us still holds the “key” to life itself.

The key is in your hand!

Your reason for being –

to open any door you can to enrich and educate humanity!”

Ligo Haibun Challenge – Mirror Image

IMAG3018-1

Such an interesting turn of phrase “mirror image” as compared to … oneself. More incongruous than the image appears (visually speaking), we (humans) always tend to “see” more than what is really visible to the naked eye.

Still, the person on the outside looking at the same person (on the inside of a mirror) has the distinct advantage of being seen in a two dimensional platform –  which is, of course, never the actuality of life.

Wading deeply through the stream of reality, I could look down at life’s liquidness and see my own mirror image reflected in the fluidity of all life as it swirls around me. Ebbing waves of ‘this or that’ moment of experience exhibiting – all that I appear to be.

But I rarely do – look. I selfishly do not stop the train of thought, (my personal perception of life experiences) and indeed my ability to continue on with an absorption, immersion and captivation of life which I find quintessential to my own well being and improvement.

In summation, a true mirror image of self might be viewed as a matrix where each new bit and piece and layer of the “who I am” rearranges and renews – at will, (my ‘true image’ being of constant change) – as it should, because with each subsequent change I become more of who I truly am.

I Can Fly and Touch The Sky!

I Will Fly … High!

We (all of us) are the compilation of our journey through life – our struggles, our sorrows, our joys and successes.

Birds fly. They, with glorious feathered wings, descend into the heavens to soar high above the sky – ennobled through their freedom of flying.

We humans are earthbound it seems, forever to have our feet on the earth of the ground.

But is this a truth? Are we? After all we are creatures of our own making. Do we not control our destinies, chose the direction we would follow?

Perhaps … if we so desire … we can set free our imaginations, our dreams and we too can fly.

Fly today my friends, fly high…touch the sky!

To Touch the Sky

I would fly

if I could,

I might close my eyes,

spreading arms open wide

and rise up

touch the sky.

And now that I think on it

perhaps

a simply thing – this flying.

Today, I believe,

I will fly.

 Have a great day!

Worlds within Worlds – Searching for fulfillment

This …

This then is being.

Cumbersome thoughts assail me. I set aside my imagination so I may ponder my reality. My realness. What I see – the view from my eyes, my living, my taking part in. My truth. My world.

Does my world overlap into your world? How far? Not the fantasy one (although that’s fun) but the real world. The one you live in everyday. How much of my world is your world? Not a lot, would be my guess. We are mostly this way. Our worlds and happenings overlapping with other’s worlds and happenings. But we stay, a large portion of the time, locked within the world of our reality and our making. Adding to or taking away from, dependent on our individual comfort level and need.

So then what do you make of this whole blogging world of things? We all seem to be reaching out, don’t we? What are we reaching for? And Why?

We seem to be presenting ourselves to each other. Visually and with our words. We are searching – aren’t we? What is it that we need so fiercely that we take the time each day to present ourselves, or an especially created version of ourselves to this virtual world.

What’s missing in our lives that compels us to share ourselves in this manner? Do you know? Have you thought about this too?

Do we need to be needed, thought about, supported, encouraged, loved, appreciated, desired …  just because we do? Is this enough of a reason to care, to connect and make a difference with each other?

Yes … Yes it is.

Growing yourself!

By greyerbaby

“To share with others helps in growing self-worth!

To give of yourself furthers your growth exponentially.

But when you learn to receive,

as gracefully

as you share and give,

you become endowed with the greatest ability of all

~ that of encouraging others to grow as well!”
