Survival, Love, Purpose ~ I gotta get me some of that!

Depending on where you are in life, those three words express your “motivators”! That which is most likely to “call you to action!”

  1. Survival
  2. Love
  3. Purpose

Really! It’s what it comes down to!

If someone bangs on the door of your house and says “your house is on fire” I guarantee you you’re going to move fast to remove yourself from the danger.

Once you’ve got the survival thing down pat (breathing, eating, shelter, safe from harm) in general terms, love is the next greatest motivator. Same scenario someone banging on your door, your first thoughts survival, your second thoughts if you do not live alone, save those you love!

And finally, the third motivator – Purpose. This is actually, for most of us humans the big boy of the three. The reason we (each day) get out of bed and want to live our lives. Our own special purpose (“I have a special purpose?” a quote by Steve Martin from the movie The Jerk, if you haven’t watched it, you should, it’s very funny).

Credit line (HTML Code): © Svetlanka809 | Dreamstime.comThe waters get muddied here. Life is hard and confusing and scary and hurtful (See items 1 and 2). So how on earth can we keep our purpose constant and thriving and alive – So (regardless of what comes) we are centered and balanced – so we want to keep achieving over and above survival – so we can truly live – looking forward to the next day?

Survival instincts keep us physically alive! Loving others and all things living, keeps us emotionally aware and creates a purpose to improve our ability to not just survive but to thrive. This means taking some risks, loving unconditionally and accepting that change and hardships will occur. You just keep on loving.

Watch children, they start out loving all things (except green vegetables) until life experiences begin to slow them down – that’s the muddying I was speaking about!

But that same original energy and vitality is still available, inside you, right now! Reassess how you feel about things. Look for passion (In your creativity, Rearrange how you view things. Pick something you “love” doing. Renew yourself by reaching out.  You are so needed!

“Survival + Unconditional Love = Your Purpose! A key mathematical equation!

Consider this post PURPOSE, banging on your door! You have so much to live for, far beyond just survival and it’s waiting just outside your door!

Have a great day,

Do You Think well of Yourself?

by hongchan001_info.jpg~

I’m guessing that if I had to pick the person we most often doubt  or think poorly of, it is ourselves.Today is a wonderful day to begin believing in yourself. Starting Now! Here are a few quotes to lead the way.

“It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not!”  Anonymous

“If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”
Bruce Lee, martial arts master

One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn’t pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself.
Lucille Ball

The most important person in your life each day that will make a positive difference in how you proceed will always be you. Let today be that day, Be happy, be positive, make it so,

Have an excellent weekend,

Penny

What are meaningful “action” words?

And how do you use them?

*
Love, Hope, Give, Honor, Care, Trust, Believe, Forgive, Value,
*

Such small words. Such huge and wonderful meanings. When we use small words with big meanings do we feel big feelings? Do we think big thoughts?

 by Sanshams

In the English language of things, these can all be “action” words (verbs)! Are they action words (in your life) when you say them or are they simply words connecting other words together in a sentence. Words written or spoken in daily platitudes but not our personal attitudes.

I know when we use small words that are negative …

fear, hate, fault, blame, mean, hurtful, cruel, greedy
*

… we are very action oriented! Look around, it’s rather obvious isn’t it? Violence,happy-young-woman-by-fotosforthought. meanness, cruelty, selfishness, greed are everywhere (in abundance)! Why is that?

The human heart has such a giant capacity for LOVE and LOVING!

Today, written and spoken words are being used as weapons, tearing apart and ripping through the potential of what we can become: something far greater than the sum of our individual parts. Please use those action words that help bring us – all – closer together. Not further apart. And yes! You do make a difference! Every single human being on the planet does!

Each life holds the capability of greatness from which something mighty may grow.

I hope you are having an excellent Sunday and for those beginning your new week, may it be a full and loving one for you.

There is a spiritual nature in all of us

… whether we admit it or not. For most, spirituality is based on our particular faith or belief system specific to cultural values.

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

For some it is that which we don’t understand but still feel the need to believe.

There are those of us who believe we are here by accident. A quirk (or the quark of it all – you science buffs) of nature. As we are each on our own journey, none of us have the answers, not really.

My video offering today is just a reminder for all of us, to be interpreted in a manner that drives home the fact that expecting things to “happen” in life without some effort on your part will make life more difficult, and to be grateful for that which you do have. But mostly to love and give with all your heart!

The Reasons to be Brave …

file0001989908662

Life can be so darn hard! Some days are … well … just about impossible to get through aren’t they?

Really, really tough ones, when you don’t think you can make it.

This is when we need to remember why.

The Why About This is what I do best after all.

So let me remind you the reasons to be brave. Just a few, but I think they cover most things!

And one more thing, if you’re really having trouble … then reach out …

file0001339838981~

…You are never alone. We are in this life together. It is a truth.

Open your heart and your mind. Let love come in and you will see all of us who care. We are here waiting.

There will be a helping hand if you need it. There are hundreds of millions of us out there, waiting to be there for you! Believe, love, let go of fear and hate and reach out!

In life … Indifference is not acceptable!

Bullying is a world wide problem, it begins with children and if not stopped carries on into adulthood. It affects those being picked on, sometimes in the worst way possible, and it creates a mindset (if not stopped) in the bully that says it’s okay and cool to be “cruel” to another human being!

  • Bullying another person is not okay, not never, not at any time, for any reason!
  • A Bully has no reason to be!
  • So if you see someone being bullied, pause with what you’re doing and make a difference, do what you can to stop him or her!
  • Be an activist when it comes to stopping cruelty.
  • You are a part of the reason it exists, if you do nothing!

There is no “EXCUSE” for not getting involved. Indifference is not okay. In fact it is just as bad as the bullying itself. So be responsible! Be involved, step up to the plate and … CARE!

Be yourself and be happy … you deserve it!

Be happy

So here’s the thing. if one wants to be Happy.

One Simply Is!

A state of mind!

No reference point,

Just be Happy.

To put it into perspective. Every day the one constant in your life is … You! The one person who should hold the most sway over your thoughts is you! Not someone else!

Your emotions, well that’s something else again. Do you know how quickly we (humans) go to an emotional place? Speed of light quickness! Think on that for a few minutes. If we allow it to happen others can quickly derail our good intentions to have a good day. So remember who is in charge of you!

Make the most of your day, and while you are busy thinking of others remember to be good to yourself too! You deserve it, after all!

Thank you for your visit, have a happy day today and a better one tomorrow!

A Very Special Awww…

A personal one!

Today Maxima reminded us, with a beautiful written piece on his inspirational blog, that today is Universal Children’s day.

This special day was established by the United Nations in 1954 to encourage all countries to institute a day that would encourage mutual exchange and understanding among children and initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s children.

It was also chosen as the day to celebrate childhood. And so I shall.

This year for Halloween, 10 year old Emma went trick or treating as a bunny, to me definitely an awww moment! And she did extremely well in the candy haul so she obviously made an adorable bunny!

Having said that, she also knows her priorities, so she is busy working on digital cartoon videos that she creates herself while learning about science (the science of things fascinate her) and remembering that she is strong also!

The picture quality is poor, but did want to point out that like many of our future women – she is strong inside and out! (this is her second year since the death of her father so she is doing well indeed, as are her older brother and sister)

And she asked me to add that she loves cats and taking photographs (she’s good) and of course giggles with her friends!

Children everywhere, in your home and around the planet, need love and encouragement in all that they do. Most definitely our job to see that this is accomplished.

I Hope today you hop right over any problems you encounter and make the time to spend quality time with your children! Always time enough for love!
