What Do I Do With this New Day?

image

Oh, what shall I do
with this glorious new day?
It’s mine for the living
despite come what may.

How can I share
these feelings so grand,
where new life’s unfolding
making its stand?

And where do I fit
in this scheme of all things?
Do I even belong
Or is life a dream?

Yet be it a dream
I shall not despair,
for happy I am
Whether here or there.

If Your Heart is In Your Dream

How many times in your life have you heard someone say derisively, “you dreamer, you” or “get your head out of the clouds, stop dreaming”.

I’m thinking the most important thing to remember is the DOERS in life all had a dream before they had either a plan or began “doing” for themselves. They dreamt about what they wanted to accomplish and then made it happen; someway, somehow. You need look no further than the hundreds of thousands of quotes by leaders, scientists, philosophers, artists and so on. They had the dream first!

Helen Keller, 1880-1968

Helen Keller comes to mind. Here was a woman, who as a small child, became ill and was struck deaf, blind, and dumb. An unteachable wild child living in emptiness and darkness. But one person, Ann Sullivan, had a dream. Ann dreamed and believed she could help Helen learn to communicate – and she did.

She taught an unteachable child to communicate, and the child learned. And from there, the child developed a dream of her own. To become educated and make a difference in life, and she did. She became well educated and went on to live a happy and purpose filled life. The odds were completely against both of them and it was hard, really hard. But they believed their dreams and pursued until the dreams became reality.

There are so many, many excellent examples of people who had a dream and went on to do great things that they are legend, just two amazing examples are Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi. No need to discuss what they accomplished, you already know.

So the next time you hear someone call you a dreamer, dismiss it. After all, you’re too busy dreaming and imagining your future and what you will achieve.

When You Wish Upon A Star
*
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
*
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
Like dreamers do
*
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing
*
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and pulls you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dream comes true*
*
Dream on fair readers, dream on, let no one stop your dreams from becoming reality.

Forever … and a day!

sharing your dreams

Forever

If I were to ask you is there really a forever …?

Would you think about it? Would you dismiss it as just a silly question with no definitive answer?

It is one of those pondering type of questions I think. I’m guessing most of us would put the word “forever” in a category of  “a real long time plus a little longer where we can’t see the end” sort of understanding.

But just pretend for a minute that your mind can stretch itself out to eternity and travel …”to infinity and beyond… where would it go and what would you see and experience? If you are seriously thinking about this then you are using the finest mode of transportation you have. Your IMAGINATION.

Forever and a Day

I think forever will always be

So the quest I do instead,

Is what I’d do with the extra day

Explore or stay  ‘abed

Whispering breezes far afield

Twinkling star lit night,

worlds without end cannot be seen

the vistas out of sight

dewdrops in the morning

mother nature’s misty breath

I wonder, dream, imagine

The question … says Hamlet!

Visualizing the “forever” of things can be a difficult.

How wonderful for us that we each possess the greatest method of visualizing ever. Our Imagination.

Imagine Forever …

The perfect vehicle for exploring your thoughts about things – like the question of forever. Take yours for a spin today, because like all good things, use it or you’ll lose it!

Have a great weekend! p.s. – see my note below, thanks!

* Hi everyone! What is also important is to have a functioning laptop, computer, etc, if you’re a blogger. My laptop is currently at the “fix-it” doctor. She (yes my laptop is a female) has been under the weather (suffering from chronic overuse, lol) and a few days ago decided to really become “interesting” – as in her own graphic show on top of my homepage and content. So temporarily I am alternating between an old desktop and one of the kids laptops. I miss my p.c. gal and all my data, notes and visuals, stored there for easy convenience. Very interruptive to say the least.
Hopeful won’t be too long, in the meantime, take care of yourself!  ~ P

dreamstime_xs_28084676

Once upon a special time, there passed a great decree
There would be ten days of love for thee and thou and me.

*

On the first day of happiness, a smile upon my face

I send a loving greeting filled with warmth and grace.

To all who live upon this earth who share with me this day

I wish you all the very best in every single way!

Life – The Untangling of …

.

Complexity

…a maze of complications.

So many distractions – everywhere today.

So much to do, places to go, things to accomplish.

It’s like trying to find your way through a complicated maze on many days. So many layers to filter through.

Multi-tasking does have it’s value. Organization also an excellent thing. But there is a point where attrition (a lessening of the quality of the endeavor) enters the mix.

Keep it simple but do quantify (measure the importance of things in your life). Goals sometimes demand sacrifice so be careful with what you choose to spend less time doing to reach your desired accomplishments.

That which we regret in life (we all have those) is hard to put our arms around. Both metaphorically and for real!

Is it worth the price? Yes sometimes hard choices. Always fall back on the important simple three things. Is it good/healthy for you? Does it make a positive difference to others. Does it add to your happiness? And no we can’t always have everything we want in life, but I think we can come a lot closer!

I wish you every success in your endeavors!

A Maze Museum

A private thought here. When I feel like I’m caught up in the maze of life, I let my imagination go. My maze becomes a gigantic art museum that I browse through at my leisure, picking and choosing what moves me the most and then moving on. (Just a little bit of whimsy here lol!)

Thank you for visiting, have a very good day and a better tomorrow!

Elusive Dream Lover

So here’s the thing, several of my blogging friends have been speaking about the “muse” of things. So there I was thinking about love as it would be with lovers, or perhaps even an elusive thing and this poem happened, so, hold on, it’s a little bit out of my normal style but it’s all you creative and wonderful bloggers fault. You just inspire me so much!

She came to him in the night

While he slept,

A delicate whisper caressing his skin

He felt her words

“I am yours”

He sighed in his dreams

Drifting within the magic of night.

Her voice softly whispered

“I am yours”

He breathed deeply, her taste intoxicating

He stirred but did not awaken

Her moist breath enveloping his senses

“Take me”

His body flaring forgotten passions

His longing so intense

The music of her sultry and sinuous words

“I am yours”

He slumbered on

 Asleep, impassioned

“I am yours”

He sighed in his dreams

Gently she lay down

By his side

Her body contouring with his

“Forever”
