The Kindness of Your Words

image

“Words expressed in kindness from one human to another,

is a sharing of affection … touching others with an essence of grace and love …

a needed nourishment for one’s soul.” ~ Plh

Animals have no words to use to express their affection. Humans do. With just a few well spoken words each and every single one of us has the ability to make a positive or negative difference in another person’s day.

Using our words wisely, with affection, is a happy thing to do.

A Positive Way to balance your life!

dreamstime_xs_34269548

The words and mentality of “being negative” are used too much. To feel sorry for ourselves, to think poorly of our “situation”. To play the blame game with others. Looking for the “wrongs” in the world (not the rights) and in general setting us up for a long term negative outlook on our tomorrows. But this is today … so …

Number One – Look out your personal window (view of life) and make a list of everything you currently do have. Start with essentials like a roof over your head, food and clothing, modern plumbing. (the things many of those who do have – take for granted – and just to remind you, those who go without are most of the humans on the planet)!

Number Two – What “Do” you like about you. Anything that comes to mind. Your friendly personality. Your love of animals. The way you can solve puzzles. Your love of reading, or gardening, anything (at all) about who you are and what you do, that you like – about yourself. Don’t go negative here.

Number Three – What you like (love) that is most likely within your view, nearby. Be inclusive. Nature, life, trees, plants (flowers) Water, mountains, people, kids, old folks, food. Make this list as long as you want.

Number Four – Now write, but only about the things you’ve listed! From the heart! You are not allowed to think any negative thoughts, like what’s wrong with you, what you don’t have, what you can’t do, what you don’t like (we tend to do that all day) this exercise is to remind and balance our minds!

Number Five – Be grateful!

Life is Simple

I am

I feel

I exist

I care

I do

I live

I love

I am

Have a good day today,

An Act of Kindness

The most unexpected considerations can bring about the most amazing results. In almost every case it is usually related to .. an unselfish act of kindness, given in the moment … just because …

As kindness
blooms
from open hearts,
 flowering gratitude adorns.
*
Petals of love are bestowed
upon the giver and the receiver.
*
Such an enriching beautiful thing!
One would wish such a bouquet

might be shared by all
with each
passing day!

There’s too much life today! Or is there …

Journal Entry ~

plhToo much life today. I woke up and felt as if I was being bombarded with life-y kinds of things! Activities, responsibilities, chores, sensations, emotions, the whole thing. Life being life not in tiny little bits and pieces but in great big, full screen, full color 3D, full volume surround sound happenings! Yes overwhelmingly so. So I laid there and took a few deep breaths and then I stared my day but I began to notice what I had missed earlier.

Children giggling. Cat’s purring nearby with affection. Dogs tails wagging in happiness, the timber of the voices coming from those whom I love discussing their accomplishments or activities for the day. I stepped outside and inhaled the fresh air, a mild day today. dew on the grass, not frost, a few birds singing in the trees and squirrels racing about.

And I knew then there wasn’t too much life today … there wasn’t enough! And I smiled and officially started my day over again. this time with a smile on my face, grace in my soul and thankfulness in my heart!

Be Gentle Be Kindly …

wild flowers

Be gentle be kindly

Though the world’s harshly made,

Be loving and giving

Through life’s piteous parade.

~

Walk softly serenely

Through tempests of strain,

Sing sweetly and softly

Shed your tears in the rain.

~

Stand proudly and bravely

In spite of your fear,

Laugh loudly, live fully

‘Tis Life you must bear!
