You, Who Inspire, Unknowingly – I Salute You!

When you think about your day today, and the problems to overcome, situations to resolve and your goals to obtain – do you think about who you might be inspiring, all unknown to you, a rose for youin the moment?

In your life you shape your surroundings based on decisions made and those nearby watch your actions. These include your loved ones, your close friends, associates, even strangers who may be noticing how you are doing what you are doing. Your imagination, talent and determination do not go unnoticed – even if you think they do.

I’m guessing there are times in your life when you’ve inspired and brought hope and joy to someone without even being aware you were doing so. Sometimes you’ve inspired just by “being there” and making that positive difference. Your life is your legacy.

And as you live your daily life you do inspire. You inspire others to try harder, you inspire others to dream and at your very best you inspire hope for a better day. This is what you do. Whether you’re aware of it or not, it’s true.

So today, YOU are my inspiration. to succeed, to overcome adversity, to allow my own imagination full rein, to be all I can be – Thank You!

The “Art” of Inspiration!

Here’s an example:

The other day I noticed several long pieces of hair adhered to the wall where I take my daily shower. I was fascinated by the form they took.

I took a photo, darkened the lines so that they were clear and then I colored in some of the spots and created the abstract piece here. This would be a “sketch” if I were going to actually recreate this piece on canvas, the detail in the painting would be much cleaner and precise, but I did enjoy the fun of creating!

During my “art education” years I was fascinated by the form and shapes of “early on” Surrealism, Abstract expressionism as well as Pablo Picasso’s periods of art known as Cubism. Although color was an expressive element – during Picasso’s periods of the abstract – he primarily relied on a simple drawing to create form and space.

Everyone’s taste in art is personal to them whether abstract or realism, art is in the eye of the beholder. Creativity however has no limits, no medium, no set style, just going with the flow and enjoying the process.

Remember, creativity is out there everywhere waiting to inspire your imagination, just look for it!

A Touch of Inspiration …

IMG_0740

What really inspires you? What warms you up inside and makes you feel so good that you just want to … well do whatever it is that you feel inspired to do?

But what causes the spark? What lights the fire inside? What makes the something inside of you come alive with desire? A desire so strong it burns, a driving need that grows within and urges you on. A special something? What is it?

We all have it inside us, waiting to come out,

A quiet gentle touch

whispering as it came.

Mmm, so very delicate

I was enraptured just the same.

It played upon my senses

calling out my name.

a current, ebbing flows

stirring my wishes and wants.

Changing dreams into great desires,

my inspiration into burning fires,

because of this feeling that grows.

A touch of Inspiration!
