As I said at the beginning of this post you are not alone. Please know in your heart of hearts that we (humans) are all connected, one to another, and while there will surely be periods of time when we each feel as if  we are separated from and facing life alone, it is not so. You are loved. ♡

LOVE Cures …

… Pass it on!

image

No secret elixir, no magic formula, no chemical compound cures as well as loving & being loved … nothing!

(This reminder brought to you by those living things who need love – that’s all of life … hint hint – including those who are currently giving love, those who are currently receiving love and those – good for you – who are doing both!)

Thank you! (Absolutely nothing was harmed in the making of this message … only loved!)

wishing you all well this day,

Breathing Exercise during Holiday Season!

So much to accomplish and so little time … especially when worries are there on your mind.

Or so it seems, during the holiday festivities for so many families. I give you my breathing exercise that can do wonders when directions are precisely followed (Works the year round, too!):

My best to everyone this week. I wish you all safe, peaceful, and happy holiday festivities. With love and affection,

A Season of Festivities – To be who we are!

We’re humans, give us a reason and we’ll celebrate or come together if it’s a crisis. During this time of year, many tend to create a more positive environment to live in. We try a little harder to be nicer, to share, to give. We have a reason, you see.

And whatever your spiritual beliefs, many of you will find the extra bright and colorful lights, the extra hustle and bustle, the beautiful holiday music and special events, a reminder that we are human and we have a common purpose.

To be who we are.

We’ll get it  right or we’ll get it wrong, wish we could do more for those who have less, some will find this time of year depressing for those self same reasons, and many will simply feel a little bit or a lot happier through the seasons festivities, and that’s okay! We are human and that’s what we do…

What we do best, actually … be who we are!  Enjoy this season of giving and loving, as you can. Take especially good care of you (try not to be too overwhelmed with responsibilities) … you matter, you’re important and you do make a positive difference (even if you don’t think you do), you do!

All my love,

~ Penny

Imagine There’s No Meanness!

SONY DSC

“A child learns through ‘experience with’ and ‘observations of’ the behavior of others.” ~ P

Imagine if being mean was inconceivable.

That no one anywhere on the planet understood the concept, much less had the desire to do anything mean.

Being nice isn’t really all that difficult. It takes far less time to be nice than it does to be mean and when people are nice to you, you want to spend more time around them.

So what does being mean “mean”? To me it’s when one perceives a hurt or cruelty from another. This sound ambiguous, because in a way it is. Many times we hurt others accidentally with poorly considered choices in what and how we say or do something. But if a true understanding of “no meanness” was there and one sensed a hurt, the other would be quick to apologize.

For the most part we have pretty good instincts, however, and know when someone else is being mean and cruel, with intent, through their words and actions.

When we’re mean all those other negative emotions can really take hold (hatred, cruelty, greed, avarice) when we’re nice to each other a different set of emotions rule (tenderness, caring, sharing and love)! The choice should be the one that has universal appeal ~ most certainly for the benefit of all mankind and life on this wonderful planet of ours. Let’s work on it, shall we?

Have a wonderful weekend, filled with love and caring.

Kindness as a Religion or at the least a Way of Being!

Kindness just is. You know when you bestow it on others, and you know when you receive it. There are no “conditions” no rules or regulations, no specific ideology, no reference as to where you’re from or who you are. Kindness just is.

Personally, I consider kindness to be a Universal Way of Being. It excludes no one, includes us all and there is never ever any doubt, about what kindness is.

When we’re kind, we are at our best. We are showing our love, care and concern for others besides ourselves. Here are a few words on the subject of kindness by some well known and admired individuals:

“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”Lao Tzu

“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.”Plato

“Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.” Henry James

“Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolution.”Khalil Gibran

“You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.”Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” Mark Twain

“My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.”Dalai Lama XIV

~

I think that sums it up nicely, lets all to kind to one another, it might go viral!

Wondering Why – A Child’s POV!

Wondering Why

I look up at the sky and wonder,

I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Will clouds still be white?

Will the moon shine as bright?

Will there still be birds on the wing?

~

I wonder, will I still be happy

or sad, like so many I see.

It’s so hard to tell

my future as well,

I wonder what I’ll grow up to be?

~

It’s not so much that I worry

It’s more, I think, that I care.

So I look at the sky

Wondering why,

And when… we’ll all learn how to share!
