Love – The Greatest Source of Inspiration!

imeetsingh

“Some of the greatest things created by man had their inspiration from LOVE!”

Not only that, but probably the most sustaining “glue” we humans have when relating to one another. I know there are many other emotions that can and do effect us in the course of our lives, Both negative and positive. But I believe Love stands alone when it comes to “Why” humans are still around. A sort of moral imperative, if you will.

The need to be loved. The need to love. HUGE … when if it comes right down to it and I do honestly believe the greatest source of inspiration and motivation that we humans will ever have.

I know it’s the reason I always have hope for us, our future and our planet. The “Love” factor will carry us through.

Hope your week is being good for you, thank you for stopping by,

Today’s the Day to Begin: Your passion, your dreams, your goals – YOU!

abwishes

For most of us, by the time we’re adults we’ve become adept at one thing – an expert even, in many cases. We are creative geniuses when it comes to procrastination or excuses for why we’re not doing something. And it goes even further than that.

When things don’t go the way we think they should, we go a step further and blame others, situations or circumstances for why something isn’t happening for us. We end up being our own worst enemy.

The hardest thing to overcome is the infinite variety of rationales (excuses) we come up with, on any given day, for why we don’t start something or finish it … once begun. Once we recognize that  “we” are actually the problem, or at least our resistant attitude, things begin to happen. Make today your first happening day!

Always remember, it’s your choices and your passion that will get you were you want to be!

Have a great day and better tomorrow.

Hope – binding thread of strength!

By LeanneStewart

In the smallest corner of being

sometimes so small it hides,

You will still find it there

because hope hangs on.

*

When certain there’s no winning

and all is done for naught

there yet exists a spark of light,

… hope hangs on.

*

Human nature guarantees

we’ll fail more than we win,

and I think that’s why there’s hope

,,, hope hangs on.

*

Dreams are made from wishes

desires made from dreams,

hope the binding thread of all

… hope hangs on.

And  speaking personally, I think that’s a very good thing indeed!

The Mirror Of Your Dreams

Memory’s rainbow rivulets,

reflecting fallen tears.

Hidden dreams lay dormant

behind the clouded years.

~

Eyes are keeping secrets

And yet as time goes by,

The colored rainbows answer,

falling from the eye.

~

Born upon the teardrops

revealing hidden gleams,

witness then, your memories –

in the mirror of your dreams.

NOTHING!

file000693070568

Nothing

No air left for me to breathe.
Did atmosphere disappear with you – when you left?

There is no feeling left to feel.
Was all substance removed – when you went away?

There are no tears upon my face
Despair so intense – all senses frozen in fear,
for to contemplate the loss of you
I shall indeed, dissolve into … nothing …

The nothing you left behind.

~

Love is so precious, never take for granted, and if you are one of the lucky ones, cherish. If you are still searching, be at peace, love will find you, and if you were disappointed and hurt by another, take heart. Wounds heal with the passage of time to make way for a new love.

Have an excellent weekend filled to overflowing with love!

True Love … Myth, Passion or Something Other!

Dwelling on True Love

What is True Love? Sitting here thinking about it, I suppose I’d have to vote for it as being “Something Other”. Passion is most definitely excellent, but it does tend to have a place and time attached to it. Myth … well … the “living happier ever after” story doesn’t happen in the real world, so by the process of elimination I’m left with “Something Other”! True Love does fit best in this category. But of what does “Something Other” consist?

While I’ve learned the hard way about the myth of true love, most recently just a couple of years ago and, of course, it was painful and really hurt. But time does heal, mostly. and we move on.

The beauty of passion with your partner in the moment, well that is incomparable, most all of us would agree with that. And it would be a glorious thing if romantic passion could survive the various degrees of life’s intrusions, but it rarely does.

Coming up with a solid “something other” for what love can be between a couple is difficult. Something one can sink one’s teeth into (besides sweet delicate skin – oops, that’s passion again). Respecting your partner and appreciating them for how they are, in fact enjoying them for who and how they are would certainly fit in the “Something Other” category, for starters.

But for true love to last, it has to be founded on more than appreciation and adoration. There needs to be some sort of substance that binds. A sticky kind of emotional glue that is positive in nature not negative. Not a clinging love, or worse yet a controlling love, but an equality that exists mutually and completely between the two.

So Something Other must be something that binds two hearts so closely together that they think, in many ways, as one – while remaining clearly independent, their very own individuals. Not codependent as much as a heartmeld. A sharing of hearts, through the good and the bad both.  An understanding and acceptance of their own natures. A miniature ecosystem involving just the two of them as both the giver and the receiver. Yes I believe that would be the something other that makes true love last.

What say you, my friends?

She Stands for what makes our Country Great – Freedom! Don’t Let Her Down!

(Please Read)

Freedom – the one word recognized by all peoples who arrive and then stay in the United States of America have in common is Freedom. The Statue of Liberty represents this as does the Statue of Liberty Poem, now an important part of our history. Let us not prove her wrong and lessen who we are as Americans and human beings.

New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome’ her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she

With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Emma Lazarus. 1848-1887

There is a crisis, thousands of children in peril of their very lives (from Central America, not Mexico) and they are coming to our country for safety and refuge. Are we still the caring land of Freedom? Do we give a damn or are we so into ourselves and our rights, ingrained in our wants and our entitlements that we’ve laid aside our souls. I’m so embarrassed and ashamed that everything seems to be related to money or politics.

Have we forgotten to do what’s right and humane and caring and loving? Have we? Most of our ancestors entered this land for the same reasons as these children. There is no difference. There should be none now and even more than that they are children, for God’s Sake!

Show you care,

~ Penny
