Quiet Your Mind

quietude

An Interlude of Quietude

Be calm, please be still

do quiet your mind,

dismiss troubled thoughts

of a worrying kind.

*

Nourish the peace

to be found deep within,

soothing life’s passages

of times we live in.

*

Quiet your mind

dear friends of mine,

know there’s tomorrow

when all can be fine.

*

With calm assurance

know you’re not alone,

with courage and belief

… a way will be shown.

Have you ever noticed – The thing is …

peace_of_mind-wide

The thing is … Today – truth,  fact and social media hype seem to be closely related, meaning you’re not ever sure about what’s being said. And this holds true whether its on the news, or as I mentioned above in one of the social media platforms. Some things however, we just know.  We do!

and

The thing is … when it comes to love and peace on this beautiful planet of ours, the far majority of people want peace and love – A truth. They want to live a life of freedom and dignity. As I just said, simple truths. It is Power, Greed, Hatred, and Fear that essentially interferes with these goals.

Today a good day for love, global love.

With affection,

Where There Be Shadows … Let Me Find Sunshine!

emerald T

Never Stop Believing

Where there be shadows … let me find sunshine.

Where there be sadness … let me share joy.

Where there be greed … let me bring charity.

Where there be disdain … let me show goodwill.

Where there be war … let me offer peace.

Where there be hate … let me give love.

We will survive. Embedded in each of our hearts is a goodness that will win out, in spite of the many misguided and negative approaches to our current lifestyles and mindset.

It is this knowledge that keeps my faith for all life, alive and thriving. Even on the darker days I know there will be light.

Peace and love to all of you – my friends I know, and my friends I’ve yet to meet!

A World of Friends Is Just The Right Amount!

A World of Friends

While we’re not acquainted – at least not yet,
you’re still my friend, even though we’ve not met.
I value our friendship, and reach out my hand,
even though all are strangers – in quite different lands!
*
Each day an adventure, as life’s journey we take,
if we travel together, oh the friends we shall make.
We’re a company of strangers, but not for long,
let’s build more relations – this will make us strong.
*
We do need each other, so we can survive,
weathering the storms, we’ll all stay alive.
Overcome our fears, our worries, concerns,
counting on each other – that’s how we will learn.
*
By needing each other … the seeds we can sow,
through sharing and giving – that’s how we will grow.
I reach out my hand, to you on this day –
“Hello my friend … are you going my way?”

Hoping everyone’s week is proceeding well.
Take care of you,

Born of the Planet Earth – We are Not Each Other’s Enemy!

We are all brothers and sisters. We are all human, born on Earth. The entire planet is our home yet we erect invisible borders, walls, and other means to separate us from each other based on beliefs and ideals.

No matter how hard we try to segment ourselves whether by government dictates, corporate mindsets, religious or ethnic perceived values, or any other differences, it doesn’t change the obvious fact that all of us, without exception, dwell on this one planet.

Each of us wishes to be individual, our own person. just as each of us desires to belong to groups who think and act as we do, yet beyond this lies a greater truth. Anytime we isolate ourselves or others by these seeming differences, we also diminish the potential for the healthy growth of life (including our individual selves) on our planet.

Each time we retreat, limit those we accept, consider and perform actions of hate, cruelty and greed we further diminish the life flow that energizes all life on this planet.

Each time we reach out to other groups, recognizing that these differences represent an awesome wealth of diversity that truly enriches our potential, then we are moving in the right direction.

The truest gifts humans were given were their intelligence and ability to love. Powerful acts can be achieved when the common goal is inclusive of all. There is no greater power than that of love. But just as there can be great love there can also be great hate. It is up to each of us to do our part to insure the well-being of ourselves and our planet secured through the power of peace – not death, destruction and killing.

It is wrong to solve a problem by the death of others. Perhaps the easy way seems to be through “violence” or killing.  Savages certainly believe this to be true. And killing is savage, a wild way of denying humanity’s ability to grow and prosper. The hard but responsible way to solve a social and civil problem is through the sincere effort of coming together through peaceful resolution – no matter how difficult!

It is past time to just stand by and “discuss” our problems, pointing out who is “right” and who is “wrong”. It is time for “the many” on the sidelines to understand that all of us share in the responsibility, and need to act in a manner than engenders a safe and healthy future.

Which direction are you moving in? With all my heart I hope it’s the one the extends a helping hand to those in need, that cherishes the wealth all humanity offers, and treasures the priceless worth and value of the planet Earth. Let us all begin to protect – through love and positive action – our true home, Earth!

Thank you,

Seeking A Proper Place

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

“Curiously Committed to Seeking”

Is there a proper place where we should be?

There are those who seek knowledge for the purpose of knowing a thing for it’s own sake. The curious ones.

There are those who seek power so they might control the lives of others.

There are those who seek wisdom so they might increase the nature of their own understanding, using this learned knowledge to assist both themselves and others in life’s travails.

There are those who seek to follow others. Their place being to dwell among those who wait to be lead by other seekers.

“Seeking Fearful Refuge”

Seeking has its dangers. It can come with confrontation, disappointments, and betrayal, for there are many who fear seekers. Holding them in the same fearful regard as the unknown.

Curious seekers may fear the unknown, but their desire to discover, understand and explore the unknown is greater than the sum of their fears.

And finally there are those who both seek and follow. Alternating their course of action during their life experience depending on choices made.

For all of us, the seekers, non-seekers and those in between, there is still a sameness of purpose. A single thing desirable to all of us, whether the thought be subconscious or at the forefront of our minds.

We all desire to know of the proper place where we should be, where we belong …

Searching for Why!

I woke up extra early this morning, aided and abetted by my two cats. Once awake, I began my search.

With freshly brewed cup of coffee in hand, I took myself outdoors and searched there. Amid early dewy grass and glorious sunrise, I took a little time to feed and water (it’s very hot right now) various animals during the process. As far as the search went – no luck.

I came inside the house, walking slowly through each room, searching as I went. Looking at my various accumulated treasures (to me) I found nothing there. Opening my PC, I searched the web, the blogs , all the various multimedia – didn’t find it there either, although I did find a whole bunch of other people searching too.

I turned on the TV and went through channel by never-ending channels (now that was seriously depressing, because of all the worthlessness being displayed).

I checked my smart phone for new texts, contacts, but for the most part everything was repeating what I’d viewed on my PC.

I went for a walk by the river. It was soothing and refreshing, but no luck with finding what I was searching.

Returning home, I sat mulling over all my various searches when it dawned on me I’d overlooked one area. So I looked there – inside me, inside my heart and, of course, I found what I’d been searching for.

…My reason for being.
…My reason for existing.
…My reason for who and how I am.

I found love of life, love of others, and love of self.

And the reason behind all of this love?

Because I care, and I found that even on a bad day, a seemingly empty of “positive things happening sort of day” – that this is reason enough! The health of our human condition depends on the caring of …

We humans are truly one of a kind for not only do we have the ability to care deeply, we also have the very unique ability to communicate/share and give this to others.

And I find this a most excellent reason Why!

If I think thoughts so bright,

if I smile with a might,

I just may get it right …

If I dwell on the good things,

that which makes hearts sing,

fear and doubt will then take wing,

happiness and wisdom may bring,

The Perfect Predator – MAN and the Killing Concept!

Evolution of the “Brutality and Killing Concept”.

Is there a justifiable rationale for violence? Humans have evolved enough to come up with numerous reasons. Reasons that sanction cruelty. Reasons that explain the need for brutality. Reasons why it’s “okay” to use excessive force. Reasons to KILL.

What gives this cruel concept it’s lasting power, a force and life of it’s own …

… Fear! Hatred, Prejudice, and Greed feed those who seek Power! Those who also seek monetary wealth which fosters Corruption. Our own individual weaknesses give those who would profit from same their ability to control, maneuver and use whatever and whoever is necessary to achieve their private goals.

Intensive research (statistical data of the numbers killed in our world’s history, up to present day) point to two reasons for these deaths:

Number One: Religion (wars and persecution)
Number Two: Controlling others: the need for Power

The above two reasons are facts not an opinion!

Over the years, we humans have perfected the “Brutality and Killing Concept” by accepting an animalistic belief that it is unfortunate but somehow “okay” to either take a life or at the very least misuse, abuse and ignore a life’s need to survive. A rationale that “the end does justifies the means” because of … “pick a justification”! And yes we hace accepted this as a ‘sad but true’ fact in our own lives. But is it hardwired into our physical make-up? I hope not. I hope it is something that can be reprogrammed because honestly, right now, it’s not looking so good.

Too many of us seek selfish and personal, petty self gratification at the price of others, safe in our artificial world of “okayness”. So what’s happening to others is viewed at a distance, (starving, brutality and death) is just not our problem, until the day it happens to one of us or ours, close up and personal and then it becomes our problem too. But when we (humans “en masse“) finally realize the wrongness of cruelty and brutality as an unresolved problem for everyone – will it be too late?

Killing for ANY reason is wrong. BRUTALITY for any reason is wrong. IGNORING for any reason is wrong.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Can all mankind learn the “saving lives” concept? We most urgently need an “app” for that – to be downloaded into our consciousness or more specifically … our “conscience”!

Thank you for reading,

~ Penny
