The Fulcrum of Inspiration – Crafting Her Heart!

(7/20/08) New Orleans blacksmith artist Rachel David hammers part of a candle stick on the anvil at the Smartshop on a recent Sunday afternoon. David lives in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, onke of the areas hardest hit by Katrina. (John A. Lacko / Special to the Gazette)

Fulcrum: (noun) The support about which something turns. One that supplies capability for action.

She’d long since decided she was better alone

she felt that somehow it was wise,

Although longing for love that was missing

It stayed absent in any guise.

*

But when ent’ring her fulcrum of crafting

Inspiration soared forth from her dreams

unrequited love quite forgotten

As she crafted her heart to well-being.

The Language of the Birds

As I walk along the water, mind in a meditative state,  I feel most peaceful viewing the sweet scenic image of a mother duck keeping cautious eye on her brood of ducklings paddling nearby in the fresh water pond.  Colorful array of small fish and pebbles just beneath the shallow rippling waters create a pleasant visual sensation of harmony and tranquility, life and renewal.

I admit to being moved by this comforting view of reality, even with the realization of  knowing that we all live in a consciousness hologram, set in linear time for the experience and subsequent recording of related emotions.  Such is the nature of the great human ‘bio-genetic Earth experiment’ of which I was, until recently an unknowing participant.

Of course now that I am aware, the worldwide pattern recognition reoccurring in all areas of life seem obvious to me. Layers of past, present and future (“the all-time” as I like to think of it) linking together as one.  I hope my human experiences are therefore not compromised (as a result of this knowledge) in my memory banks.

However I find it most synchronous, even intriguing  to be strolling past this pastoral scene of life and birds, whilst also finding myself in the middle of deciphering a mystical and mysterious book “The Language of the Birds”. An ancient manuscript purported to be about our true human beginnings, mailed to me by an anonymous source. Clearly the language the ducks are speaking here is not of what the book is referencing … but then again, perhaps …

Thanks for stopping by, hoping the remainder of your week is a positive and creative one.

Mondays Finish the Story – Dancing for the life of it!

2014-11-24-bw-beacham

Dancing For the Life of It

“Dance as if no one is watching!” Now where have I heard that before? Oh yes, it’s part of a Mark Twain quote. But I digress. I am only a dancing statue but if I were flesh and blood …

… you’d find me running barefoot through open fields and meadows. I’d be scaling the tallest majestic mountains, breathing in the beauty of never-ending surrounding vistas.

If I were alive I’d swim to the bottom of the ocean, meet mysterious creatures residing in the murky, dark and sometimes luminous “other worlds” of the ocean’s depths.

Being on earth as a human, I’d explore, without hesitation, the wonder and uniqueness of every single living entity … and glory in its creation. I’d meet as many forms of life in the wild and learn of their ways in nature. I’d embrace the natural behavior and order of things. And after I had done all those things … I’d dance … because I have the gift of life!

Thanks for stopping by and reading, I hope your enjoyed.

Flash Fiction version:

(count – 100 words)

Paradise Lost

Remember my saying “when I am in your arms the world is a perfect place?” It was true. I felt loved, desired and safe. Three strong emotional needs we all share, I found in your arms. Isn’t that what paradise is all about? Shared experiences in the moment, our weekend in New York, wrapped in gossamer tissues of hopes, desires and promises.

Then our worlds clashed, private agendas displacing love with personal goals.

Now, memories of our brief happiness mixed with desire and longing. Loving memories of paradise … and paradise lost.

Missing the warmth of your arms.

The full length version:

Paradise Lost

I miss the warmth of your arms. I have for 6 long months now. But your agenda was different than mine. We did connect though, didn’t we? The long weekend we spent in one of the most romantic cities on the planet, New York, was heavenly in it’s perfection.

Do you remember my telling you, when I was in your arms, the world was a perfect place? I felt loved, desired and safe – all rolled into one. Three of the strongest emotional needs humans require. I found them all – in your arms.

But that’s what paradise is all about, isn’t it? What is experienced in the moment; wrapped in gossamer tissues of hopes, desires and promises. Such heady stuff.

And so we played, laughed and loved, reality continuing, all around us, while we lived our dreams. Then our worlds clashed, the love still there but overwhelmed by our individual game plans and our inability to express ourselves well – as  you pointed out after you’d been gone for awhile and we were speaking on the phone – You asked why neither one of us had looked into the other’s eyes and said “I need you and love you so much” even though we both felt it.

Each, so insecure of self we feared the other’s open rejection and our own ability to be what we felt the other wanted  – so we were silent.

But happiness was mine, for a brief period of time. Now I have memories of contentment mixed in with sensual desire and longing. Such loving memories of paradise and paradise lost.

I miss the warmth of your arms.

Have you ever felt like you were in the wrong place …

“Excuse me, but do you know where we are?”

“Um … have you ever heard the old saying … a fish out of water?”

“Yes!”

“I think it applies here!”

“May I assume you are not speaking metaphorically?”

“That would be an accurate assumption!”

“So that sums things up then?”

“Yup!”

~

Thanks for the visit, I hope I’m starting you off with a laugh and that you are in the right place today and certainly not feeling like a fish out of water (metaphorically speaking lol)!

It’s Your Life – Own It!

It is your life. You are the one that breathes in and out of your body every day. You are the one who should be choosing what you plan to do with it, or are doing with it. Are you?

In the following movie clip from Aliens the heroine “Ripley” definitely encounters more things than we can ever imagine having to cope with in our lives.

But there is a point here. When something needs to be done. She does it. She makes the decision she needs to make and makes them count! It’s worth a reminder.

We may not be facing aliens but every day we face all sorts of things to be dealt with. Our choices, our life. Decide and then make it happen. It is your life, go for it!

In the mean time enjoy probably the greatest sci-fi heroine ever! And yes, she definitely owns her life!

Thanks for visiting me, I hope you have a great week,

~ Penny
