Accomplishing the Impossible!

image

Walt Disney once said “I’m doing the difficult today, tomorrow I’ll do the impossible.”

Was he crazy? No one can do the impossible. Or can they? Actually there’s  a bit of a dichotomy here. What he actually meant was “what appears to be impossible becomes possible – once accomplished.”

We all know of stories about ordinary people like you and I, who figure out how to do seemingly impossible things and become successful in the process.

I’m happy to share their secret here:
They believe in themselves.
They believe in their goal.
They never give up.

Okay, what impossible thing are you going to accomplish tomorrow?

You know the secret now, so there’s no one to stop you…

…Except yourself. Your life, your choice. Make it be what you want it to be … start with the impossible. You can do it!

* * *
Thanks for stopping by, have a great tomorrow and remember to always take care of you. If you’re not okay, you can’t be there for others.

The Practice of Practicing!

It’s all about the practice of things!

I will not give in

I’ll practice each day,

no matter the problems

coming my way.

I’ll practice and practice,

I shall not fail.

Watch me go to it,

blazing my trail.

*

You can practice being successful, getting better and better at a thing or you can practice not doing much of anything at all, because in the end it is about practicing, repeating, improving upon, strengthening, over and over until it becomes a habit.

It doesn’t happen any other way.

*

So practice! Believe in your self! Set goals and then practice!

See yourself being successful! And don’t under any circumstances let anyone else stop you! Not ever!

Begin today. Create your own habit of practicing success!

Have an excellent week ahead,

Good For You!

The Word: GOOD!

Meaning: To be desired or approved of. Nice, kind, fine.

Can’t think of a better word to use or feel during the course of the day.

See how many times you can use the word good – in a “Good Way”!

~

Today is a good day,

… therefore you could,

… and definitely should,

… use the word Good,

in words you may say!

~

A very good thing and if you do,

well … Good for you!

~

Thanks for the visit, if you can’t make it a great day make it a good one!

Why there are rude, nasty people out there today!

It’s because they have forgotten author Robert Fulghum’s wise words regarding what many of us learned as kids.

“These are the things I learned (in Kindergarten):

1. Share everything.
2. Play fair.
3. Don’t hit people.
4. Put things back where you found them.
5. CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS.
6. Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
7. Say you’re SORRY when you HURT somebody.
8. Wash your hands before you eat.
9. Flush.
10. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
11. Live a balanced life – learn some and drink some and draw some and paint some and sing and dance and play and work everyday some.
12. Take a nap every afternoon.
13. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
14. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Stryrofoam cup: The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
15. Goldfish and hamster and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup – they all die. So do we.
16. And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned – the biggest word of all – LOOK.”

I think we’ve got the “Looking” part down pat, but most of the other rules, the ones related to good behavior seem, for many, to have gotten lost. And it feels like the more we stress “social correctness”, the more we see the breakdown of basic, good, everyday manners. Our politicians and other “people in the news” are certainly among some of the worst. But we’re (the private individual) not far behind them. Just go online for any subject, in any social media to find the very worst of how humans can be.

Don’t get me wrong, the very best is out there too, but there are those days when it seems we have to wade through the negative to get to the positive. Come on guys, knock it off. We’re better than that.

When we’re out there making a positive difference and helping others we illuminate the best of who we can be. And sadly there’s not an “app. for that”, so it’s up to us. Let’s be more focused on what’s right and less on what’s wrong.

And let’s be polite and show respect (this includes politicians of all parties). We’re getting darn tired of our politicians behavior, and I believe I speak for most Americans, even though we may individually disagree on a given issue, we all expect better of those we’ve elected to represent us in our government.

So that’s all – just so very weary of negativity. Hopeful for lots more positiveness, which is when things really do happen – for the better.

Have a positive “rest of your week”,

The Awesome Diversity of USA – Take Kentucky for example!

PrawnyWhy I love my Country

The diversity of America is really quite amazing . Each state is unique and special within itself. But many of our wonderful states and their residents are struggling. Change needs to happen. In government, fewer politics (and rhetoric) and more action is needed. Right now, there are a handful of states where change may be possible with midterm elections later this year. One of those states is good ol’ bluegrass Kentucky.

There are some important things going on in our country right now, and we women are right there in the mix along with the men. Helping positive change happen isn’t about feminism or equality as much as it is about accepting differences to improve All of our well being. We (everyone) Americans need to be out there making things happen to improve our chances for a better future for ourselves and our children.

Hats off to Kentucky’s Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan Grimes. Not because she’s a Democrat, (I’m a political agnostic, LOL actually what I mean is I am an American first and foremost – which means that sometimes it isn’t about a political party and it’s agenda but about us “We the people”. So wherever positive change is happening, that’s what gets my vote. Whether it be by a Liberal or a Conservative) – and I think most Americans feel the same way.

What’s important to me is having a prosperous country for as many of us as possible. For the hard working: a decent wage. For the families: a home and community to be proud of. For the children: a decent education (that doesn’t cost a fortune) for their future. And a safe place to be – for the elderly and all of us. And it looks like Alison, over there (I’m in Washington) in Kentucky is concerned about those things – and not the money behind many of the current decisions made by our politicians.

It sounds like she’s speaking out and wanting to make a difference in her home state. She’s qualified and has something positive to bring to the mix. I’m rooting for all those just like her, who are standing up and being heard because they believe it’s time to take action, because they care … for their home state and the people (like you and I) of the United States of America. So three cheers and this song is for you Allison!

Keep up the good work! As one American to another, I’m behind you all the way!

A Caring citizen of the U.S.A,

Addressing the STRESS of Distress!

Stress

Here it is – the key to all of your problems. Pick it up and use it. Address that which is distressing you so intensely that your stress levels are skyrocketing! Look directly at what appears to be so overwhelming to you and confront it!

Your stress levels will not be reduced until you focus on and handle what you currently find so emotionally difficult to tackle! And you can do it!

It is not impossible! Hard, yes! Sometimes painfully so, but still doable and definitely necessary, if you want to improve the current conditions in your life. It begins with attitude – specifically speaking – yours!

Perspective plays a role in controlling emotions. The more negative and fearful your emotions, the less control you will have making positive and constructive decisions. In turn, this leads to higher stress levels. I speak an absolute truth here.

“I just can’t do it,” you say. And I say you can.  Put your mind to it! Take back your life! Your life should never evolve around emotions that are out of control.

Take charge of you. Make it happen!

Negative emotions are your enemy they sneak in and convince you of everything that’s wrong. So it’s up to you to find some positive emotions. They’re right there, inside of you too! Some really good stuff just waiting to come out and shore up the weak emotional parts of your mind.

Never forget – your emotions are yours to control, not the other way around.

So now’s the time. Go make things happen in your life. It’s the key to making positive things happen and You Can Do It! Address the Stress. You’ll feel lots better for the doing!

Have a less stressful week ahead – much love to you all!
