Your Body Listens to You

Yes it does, and in this complicated, complex world we live in our body pays especially close attention to each word we speak and every thought we think!

vintage_boat_picture-t2

It hears you speak about what’s right and wrong, (add the word stress here). Your body hears every single word! It listens to your thoughts about how you’re feel about things, others, yourself, your emotions, yes it even hears you when your thinking about how your body itself feels – you know aches and pains, kind of things.

And then … your body decides how it’s going to cope with the day! A fact!

So help your body hear some good things. Let your body listen to the joy of balance and harmony created in your mind when you’re doing something you love. Gardening, Taking Photographs, Painting, Drawing, Running, Riding, Building, Reading, Playing, Singing, Loving.

Let your body hear you laugh – a lot. Let your body hear your thoughts when you do “stop to smell the roses”! Let your body hear some beautiful music you’re listening to and enjoying.

Let your body hear your thoughts of gratitude for what you do have that’s positive in your day.

Give your body a leg up … It’s listening to what you say and think (always) … say something that makes it feel better. Start today.

It does a body good, I promise!

Have a great day and a better tomorrow!

Your Thoughts – the main influencing factor in your life!

Did you know that? I’ll bet you didn’t. Like most of  us we assume others around us are our main influencers, or that the particular circumstances or conditions we find ourselves in are responsible for why we think or feel a certain way.

Nope. It’s you. All by your lonesome, you’re the one that decides how you’re going to feel about whatever it is! All the other things are just stimuli that your mind takes into consideration before it decides what to do or not do and how it is to be done.

Consider your thoughts in the form of a pill you take each morning. A success pill that then influences your thinking positively.

This imaginary pill is your reminder that its up to you. You, who is the main influence in your life. Let it work in your favor! It worked for Einstein, DaVinci, Disney, Shakespeare, Plato. I could go on and on but the point is obvious. You decide what you want and then you make it happen. You Do!

So go ahead, be all you can be … it’s a great feeling … Take the success pill, influence yourself to achieve, set yourself up for success, as Napoleon Hill said repeatedly “think and grow rich”. He knew what he was talking about. And if you haven’t read his book (of the same title), go get it and read it from cover to cover. It’s one of the top selling books, ever, on the planet, so he definitely must have known what he was talking about.

Go for it, influence yourself to success. You’re in charge and you make it happen. a) because you believe you can and b) because you put those positive thoughts into action c) because you don’t give up (Don’t forget about Edison and his failures before his final breakthrough with the lightbulb).

Just 3 things to remember, you can do it. You know you can!

Have a great day today,

Penny

Much ado about … everything!

This musical video “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life!” has a few words in it that can be considered offensive (I am being serious here). The song is from Monty Python’s movie The Life of Brian (1979) but the point is still well made. We take ourselves and our lives (and everyone else’s) far too seriously, too often.

The good news is … (wait, there’s good news?) … as I was saying, the good news is there is so much news, events, activities, things happening that everyone seems to have an opinion about, and so on, that the word “boring” (unless your referring to a drill) isn’t in most people’s vocabulary. At least not too much.

This is official “Lighten up Week” (well I don’t know that it’s actually official) but for goodness sake (your own sake – for starters!) look on the bright side of things. It is waaaaay to easy to look on the dark side (Imagine Darth Vader breathing here!) of things.

Take a break this week from the “Much ado” aspect of living. Be thankful and grateful for what you do have right this second. Enjoy those around you, make their day and yours a little bit better.

Have a great week,

YOU!

Just thought I’d remind you!

plhJournal Entry ~ Yesterday I woke up and felt as if I had the whole world on my shoulders. I didn’t really – it just seemed that way. So much to do, so little time. But upon reflection I realized that the biggest challenge facing me today were my own thoughts. My own worries.

I was the one adding stress to the day by feeling the way I was feeling. So mid-way through the day I stretched my whole body. I took calming deep breaths. I reminded myself of my blessings and I told myself I could make the day what I chose it to be. And I did. It wasn’t remarkable to anyone ~ except me… and that’ll do!
