Life – I refer to life here. Complicated complex life, except it really isn’t, or it doesn’t need to be. We make it so with our thoughts, actions and attitudes.
There are many homilies and quotes referencing this too. “Simple is as simple does” or the most well known “K.I.S.S.” but we don’t “keep it simple“. We run around complicating the crap out of everything.
So tomorrow or better yet today … right this minute … think of how you can uncomplicate your life, and a good place to begin is with your over-used, overworked emotions. They’d love a little relief from the stress of it all.
As it is now, your mind will transfer your emotional stress overload to various parts of your body, creating even more interesting and uncomfortable complications …
…all of which are unnecessary. Simplify! Let go of that which is not really important. You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the results. I promise.
Have a wonderful week ahead and remember to take care of you.
…a maze of complications.
So many distractions – everywhere today.
So much to do, places to go, things to accomplish.
It’s like trying to find your way through a complicated maze on many days. So many layers to filter through.
Multi-tasking does have it’s value. Organization also an excellent thing. But there is a point where attrition (a lessening of the quality of the endeavor) enters the mix.
Keep it simple but do quantify (measure the importance of things in your life). Goals sometimes demand sacrifice so be careful with what you choose to spend less time doing to reach your desired accomplishments.
That which we regret in life (we all have those) is hard to put our arms around. Both metaphorically and for real!
Is it worth the price? Yes sometimes hard choices. Always fall back on the important simple three things. Is it good/healthy for you? Does it make a positive difference to others. Does it add to your happiness? And no we can’t always have everything we want in life, but I think we can come a lot closer!
I wish you every success in your endeavors!

A Maze Museum
A private thought here. When I feel like I’m caught up in the maze of life, I let my imagination go. My maze becomes a gigantic art museum that I browse through at my leisure, picking and choosing what moves me the most and then moving on. (Just a little bit of whimsy here lol!)
Thank you for visiting, have a very good day and a better tomorrow!
The word simple has come up repeatedly today in various conversations online and off. So here are some thoughts to ponder.
Simple things make us happy:
A shining sun
A word of encouragement
Receiving an unexpected token of love
I know you could add your own items to this list. All simple things.
So does our life really need so much complexity and noise? So much Stuff? Are we better for any of this?
Can we know who we really are?
Can we see through the denseness of our Miasmocity (Nope not a real word I made it up – cool, huh! lol)?
Miasma: (the meaning) A noxious atmosphere or influence – I added the word city because it seems as if we’ve done that very thing to ourselves in our cities and lifestyles today!
See how easy? I gave a complicated name to a simple thing. That being – we have overwhelmed ourself with too much.
If this is a truth and I expect anyone reading this knows this is true, what do we do? I wish I had answers and a simple solution. I don’t. But perhaps I can suggest a starting place.
In your heart
In your home
With those you care about …
… Pure and Simple – Love!
I don’t think simplifying our lives is easy, not for any of us. But I think, if we can, we would all be much better for it. I really do!
Thank you for stopping by, may your day be filled with simple beauty and joy!
