Sing Me Today

Sing Me Today

Sing me a song, doesn’t need to be new
It can be about me, it can be about you.

Or maybe a song about other  things

maybe hope for tomorrow and the good it can bring.

Sing me a song, an uplifting one

I’m in need of connections with universal love.

Sing me a song, right now, right away

no, not tomorrow, sing me today.

Make it grand, warm and loving so all will respond

with an outpouring of love from their very own song.

Please sing me a song I can harmonize to

and after we’re thru,

I shall sing one for you

filled with love, joy and  caring,

without further delay

I will then also … sing you today!”

Thank you. Have the best weekend possible, filled with many good things.

The Song of All Souls

abcswan

Misty morn or perhaps early evening.

The Song of All Souls

Within seedlings of trees that grow

And the whisper of winds that blow

In the river flowing down to the sea

Hear the song of all souls singing free.

In the laughter of people at play

The bright sun giving light to each day

All the planets and stars in the sky

Share love’s song deep inside you and I.

The waves as they crash on the beach

Golden moonbeams we look up to reach

And the love that we all need so much

From this song, closed hearts can be touched.

Deep inside where love has no wall

Our souls they do sing out to all

They guide like the outgoing tide

to the seas where all hearts open wide.

A Lullaby – You are Loved!

I wrote this song a little bit ago. And the tune seemed to pop into my head. I am NOT a singer, at all, but I do love music. So as you listen to the tune (ignore messy studio, TV in background and my hands to ears blocking out sounds), I mostly hum, imagine an actual singer singing the lyrics below to that tune! Thank you! Have a great weekend, my friends! 🙂 xx

Just as a mother feels the beat of unborn child
I feel the rhythm from your heart ~ you are loved.
The music of you heartbeat so piercing and so sweet
you are special and unique and ~ you are loved.

~

Yes there are those bad days, bad times,
(hard, hard, hard ones too),
but, hush now, hush now, do not cry ~ you are loved.

~

I sing for you a heart song to nourish you within
You are safe, and you are cherished ~ you are loved.
Let my strength pick up your spirits
carry you along.
You aren’t alone, you aren’t forgotten ~ you are loved.

~

You my friend so beautiful

I sing to let you know.
Do not be sad, I’m here for you ~ you are loved.
~
“On those loneliest days when you feel such despair
Reach out your hand, a friend will be there!”

Never Stop Wishing Upon a Star

As a child my favorite song was from the Walt Disney Movie, Pinocchio. The song is “When You Wish Upon A Star” sung by Jiminy Cricket.

When I first heard the words I just knew wishes could come true.

I still do.

~ Enjoy your weekend and may your dreams all come true.

The Song I Sing!

I wrote this a couple years ago, and decided to share it again today! Have a wonderful weekend!

The Song I Sing

In the past few weeks I’ve been asked my opinion on quite a few subjects.

I’ve been asked if I’m always upbeat and positive. If I really care, and I’ve been asked why.

I’ve been tested repeatedly in life regarding values, morals, life, death, love and hate. And yet I am who I am, and I feel the way I do. Life experiences have only reinforced what I felt as a child. I passionately care, and have love, for every living thing.

Go anywhere you like on my blog. You’ll find a pretty consistent theme going on. It is easy to write (for me) what I really believe in, very easy, so this then is the song I sing …

~

If I can put a thought

inside each person’s mind

and it would travel

round the world

with love not far behind.

~

If I could say a prayer for you

I’d mean it with my heart.

I’d pray for peace

That all be free

And never be apart.

~

If I could wish upon a star

I’d wish with all my might

that war might end

that peace might reign

 my message could be right!

~

The song I sing … I sing with love

My thought, my wish, my prayer

To write, inspire, pass along

This is the song I share.

Come and Get Your Happiness!

I think we complicate life too much today. No matter how tech savvy, or sophisticated we become, we pay not enough attention to many of those things that really matter for our happiness; the simple, every day things. Think on this for awhile … There is so much in our lives, ours for the appreciating … If we just take a little time to do so!

#sunshine #rainbows #smiles #laughter #a good deed – received or given #love #hugs #all life #nature #friends, and of course #family!

No matter who we are, No matter our age or where we live, we all long for happiness. Seek it by appreciating the things in life that are already yours … let sunshine into your life.

Have an excellent week ahead my friends, both here and around the world. A special prayer for all those who struggle with adversity, war and famine. May your hearts stay hopeful and you and your families stay safe from harm.

One more time – International Woman’s Day!

I wrote a post yesterday about celebrating this day, but decided to visit the importance of Women’s Issues one more time – with a song! Helen Reddy wrote and sang a song called “I am Woman” several generations ago that continues to be the song many women world-wide look to for inspiration. And I agree. We still do “…have a long way to go – but look how far we’ve come” (lyrics from her song)!

Just know that each and every woman on this planet is important. We continue to make a positive difference with each passing day! Why? Because we can!

Thank you and thank you Helen!

The Beat of your Heart, The Song in your Soul!

dreamstime_xs_32462912

If your heart is beating

then you are alive!

For as long as there is life in your body

your heart will beat!

BUT … what tune is it beating to?

If it is beating to the song of love

and your soul is singing,

then you aren’t just alive

you are also living your life!

There’s a big difference between the two, my friends!

Are you alive or just living?

dreamstime_xs_35282482

I hope and pray that you are living each day with a song in your soul and love in your heart! Doesn’t get any better than that! Not really!

Sending my very best, this Sunday morning in Northwest America, to all of you !

And always with affection,

Penny

A song, A reminder and a gift for you!

“When you’re worried and you can’t sleep, count your blessings … instead of sheep and you’ll fall asleep … counting your blessings!”

When all is said and done we’re just human beings. One of more than 7 billion populating our planet. We have many different beliefs, faiths, and backgrounds; where we come from, where we’re going, how we want to get there, what we want to change – but we’re still all people – every one us!

*

This week look for whats good inside each person you meet or hear about – try counting your blessings and then bless all those with whom you harbor ill feelings! When you open your heart, good things will happen!

May your week be filled with love. Bless you, one and all!
