Being Powerful

Being powerful without honor & moral values isn’t being strong at all. Rather it’s brawn made up of fear & greed masquerading as same & failing miserably. Bravery with honor and valor on the other hand is a most magnificent thing to behold.” ~Plh

Always true, from the smallest every day bravery to the largest.

With much affection, I wish you well.

Go You Softly, Into Night of Day

Go You Softly, Into Night of Day

There are those who despair the day even before it begins!

There are  those who despair the day, even as it ends!

There  are those who despair the day whenever trouble wends!

… And then there will be those who don’t!

.

Those who with quiet strength manage to find a way!

Those who are standing strong, helping others in each new day!

and those, in spite of adversity – by your side do always stay.

So I say to you:

“Go You softly into night of day,

Trust in your heart to guide along the way.

And know that love spreads faster than

the fear of fear ‘can ever can’.”

~ Plh, 2016

.

Your compassion, prayers and hopes are sorely needed now for those suffering and in harms way, both here in the USA and abroad. Care, share, and help as you can.

With much affection,

~ Penny

Hello You! Did You Know You Inspire Me?

image

No, I’m being serious here. You, the person reading this right now is who really inspires me.

I began dwelling on where inspiration came from earlier this morning, not long after waking. Going outside, I listened to delightful chirping of birdsong thinking to myself, “how lovely”. I felt a gentle breeze and the warmth of morning sunshine on my face and thought, “how soothing”.

And then I thought about us. As in people. Our incredibly diversity, our amazing talents, our awesome ability to cope with and overcome adversity, to carry on, create new ideas, to prosper and succeed.

Finally I thought about you – a unique individual, one of a kind and what you must have to face each day and on those really hard days how you not only muster the courage to go on, but you go beyond expectation and succeed within yourself inspite of the odds, the naysayers, and of course your own personal and sometimes deeply rooted self doubts.

You keep going on because when all is said and done you know, in your heart of hearts, if you just keep going you’ll make it. And so this morning I thought of you, of both your struggles and successes and quietly cheered, because not only do I believe in you but more importantly, you do too and this is why YOU …

yes, You … inspire me.

Do Go Gently Through The Day

Daydreaming:

Tenderly do eyelids open,

viewing softly sunlight rays.

Sweetly hearing birdsong singing …

… “do go gently through the day”.

Do go gently through the day.

Do your best but open stay,

Heedlessly of come what may

Love and laughter your mainstay.

Strength need not be rough or rude

A gentle hand does more,

Courage comes to those who care

Opening a closed mind’s door.

Please go gently through the day

weathering life’s storms,

endless strength comes from the heart

when peace becomes the norm.

Fearless … Never Forget the Nature of Who We Are!

us

The Spiral of Strength ~ All of Us!

So many things seem fearful today

  • Fear of the unknown
  • Fear of failure
  • Fear of our futures
  • Fear of the threat of terrorism

And yet within each of our hearts, nestled right next to our love of life, is an amazingly unlimited reservoir  of quiet strength, energy and power waiting to be released … should the need be there.

So when you read or hear (daily) the many people (on all forms of media) speaking so many words (opinions and criticisms) about everything that appears to be going wrong; on our planet,  in our country, and our communities, be aware there are many good things happening too. Many. If you don’t believe me start searching online. There are millions of people locally and around the world, making positive differences every day. They’ve already activated their internal power to get things moving away from the negative and into the positive. (Amazing how many of the news media report the negative and not the positive!)

Each of us can make positive things happen too although a good caveat to remember: Change can occur without anger, rudeness, crudeness, vulgarity, meanness, and cruelty – not a good thing – nor nice for a person to say, do or be. Definitely not the way to achieve positive change for yourself and others!

But if you have doubts and fears today, right now … fear less … you are not alone in your concerns but the bigger and most important thing to remember is that our mutual strength of “being there” is HUGE. We, the silent majority and our mutual strength of “overcoming and pursuing the right path” for all our futures is alive and well, it’s never been stronger!

You are not alone , there are many of us and we are … fearless … in all the ways that matter!

Thank you, I hope your week is proceeding well for you.

With affection,

~ Penny

If You Are A Girl … BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE!

jodyfoster

Jodie Foster by Annie Leibovitz

If you are born a female, as soon as you’re able to communicate, limitations are put upon you, solely for the reason that you are a girl. These limitations are reinforced in our schools, our workplace, our communities and our homes. For many girls, it doesn’t take long to add to these limitations. They become self fulfilling.

YOU ARE as equal as any other human on this planet. You CAN achieve anything you believe you can. And the very first thing to achieve (regardless of your current age) is your belief in yourself. It begins there and once you’ve planted the seed of self-belief, nurture it. Keep it growing, bigger, better, stronger.

Be all that you can be … You owe it to yourself!

And YES, #unstoppable – a very good word to emulate!

With all my love, support and affection to each and every one of you reading this,

~ Penny

All too often the strength & endurance of a woman is hidden, surfacing as neededbut always there!” ~ Plh

FEAR and Freedom – a matter of believing in oneself.

Embedded image permalink

Taking a fearful leap in life is scary, just remember on the other side of fear you’ll find freedom!

Everyone has fears. It is the survival emotion that keeps us alive, so there is no way to be completely without any fear of any kind. But that’s not to say that you should let fear control your life. Fear is a warning to be heeded and or handled as the case may be.

Fear is a very strong emotion. Right up there with Love and Hate is Fear. All of us could make a list of the things we fear (if we were being honest).

How does one control fear? First you recognize it as an emotion. Second you consider the source. Third you place the fear in the right perspective and finally you believe in your ability to deal with the fear you’re experiencing. Ideally in that order. You can even give your fear a priority level. Ask yourself why this particular fear is so large and what you can do to diminish it’s hold on you.

Don’t forget you are as in control of your emotions as you decide to be. It takes practice, of course but very doable. You’re up for it. Tackle a few small fears first.

And remember on the other side of those fears you’ve conquered is a stronger and more independent you!

Hope you are having a good week.

The Amazing “Presence” of Being (you)!

Believeinyou

*

Do you believe in yourself. I mean … really?

I think you’re pretty familiar with your values, hopes and dreams … and know (mostly) what those are. But what about your strengths? The things you do on a regular basis to shore up weak areas within yourself.

Do you feel a sense of accomplishment? Are you proud of this? I’m not talking about (big headed) ego here, just having a really nice feeling because you’ve achieved or completed that which you set out to do … That you overcame obstacles. …That you tackled hard problems … That you successfully faced adversity … That you conquered fears.

Notice the singular thread of what I’ve been saying. I’m speaking specifically about you and your individual strengths. And while it is a wonderful thing to have others support you, it is just as important for a belief in yourself. That you are capable of solving problems, and in setting and reaching new goals!

If you’ve determined you don’t have the strength or “power” to achieve for yourself, I’d like you to know that deep inside of you … YOU DO! It’s inside, perhaps buried at the moment, hidden midst insecurities and what you’ve decided are failures but it’s there, waiting for a signal from you. You are stronger than you can possibly imagine. And perhaps imagination might be a good thing here. It worked for Einstein and Disney pretty darn well, according to them.

Start today. It’s a good day for really believing in yourself. And …

… think about this. Your “Presence” of being YOU glows when you achieve. It’s noticed by others, and the really cool thing is you’ll notice it too!

Time to start glowing.

Thank you for stopping by – Keep freedom of expression alive. Continue on with your creative words, crafts and arts. The world and humanity needs you!

Calling on Hope … or perhaps Hope calls on you!

Weariness can bring it’s own sort of distress.

when my heart gets weary

and I cannot seem to breath

my soul whispers hope

*

It’s inside your heart, you know. The determination and ability you need to carry on. In spite of fatigue, weariness and the feeling of being completely overwhelmed with life. Your life, in particular.

Look inward. It’s there. It’s been there in the past and it’ll be there again. Waiting to shore you up, strengthen your resolve and assist you with some common sense problem solving and solutions, so life doesn’t seem so out of control.

Good Luck, I know you can do this. After all it’s a good thing for you … to take care of you!

With affection,

~ Penny
