The Song of All Souls

abcswan

Misty morn or perhaps early evening.

The Song of All Souls

Within seedlings of trees that grow

And the whisper of winds that blow

In the river flowing down to the sea

Hear the song of all souls singing free.

In the laughter of people at play

The bright sun giving light to each day

All the planets and stars in the sky

Share love’s song deep inside you and I.

The waves as they crash on the beach

Golden moonbeams we look up to reach

And the love that we all need so much

From this song, closed hearts can be touched.

Deep inside where love has no wall

Our souls they do sing out to all

They guide like the outgoing tide

to the seas where all hearts open wide.

Here’s to Love

This is February. My favorite month of the year. Valentines Day comes to mind. A day of love (In my humble opinion, every day is a day of love) but commercially speaking we have an official day of celebrating love.

Then two of the most famous presidents in the United States have their birthdays in this month. I refer of course to Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. and I’m an Aquarius (for whatever that’s worth, lol). So there you go. I love February. And it’s a good reason to be more poetic.

So here’s to LOVE:

I Shall …
carry the sun
on a tray just for you.
And if you wish,
bring the moon too.

*

But should the moon
disappear from above,
Even still I will fetch,
bring to you with my love.

there is this – about a summer’s day

there is this – the blues are chased away

there is this – creating time to play

there is this – the sunshine’s golden ray

there is bliss – in summer’s night

there is bliss – the stars so bright

there is bliss – just seems so right

this and bliss – summer delight!

This Post brought to you today by the color Yellow!

file4831335316242

Available to you in nature everywhere!

file000989729140What is it about the color yellow that many of us love so much?

~

I’m guessing primarily because it’s the color of the sun, the light that brightens the sky and our world when it shines.

~

I think that on a subliminal level we (as living beings) file0001823116947know that our life is dependent upon the sun.

~

Yellow is a warming color, whether it be the sun or by fire.

Yellow is a cheerful color by it’s very nature. A feel good about yourself sort of color!

~

file000299512764When I think of the color yellow I think of a multitude of shades.

~

Subtle shades that sooth “mellow yellow” and vibrant shades that are cheerful and uplifting.

~

But mostly the color yellow is the color that brightens,OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA file1411284428310regardless of the hue or the format being viewed by us.

~

Yellow provides a contrast to all the other colors surrounding it.

~

Creatures of all kinds, those in the ocean and those on the land, insects, plants of all kinds, including fruit and vegetables, flowers and much more brighten our day.

~

Yellow is one of the three primary colors.

~

So today I give tribute to the color yellow and all it represents.

May the color “yellow” live long and prosper!

How Hot is It?

Alright, enough already! It is hot, as in hot! I mean it is realllllly HOT! Does everyone get the picture? For the last few weeks and it really seems like forever, it has been 100 degrees or more outside, It is so hot outside that… (insert “how hot is it?)

It’s so hot that…

–          My cats are giving me dirty looks every time I even suggest they go outside for a while!

–          The Weeds aren’t even growing (well that’s a good thing but still…)

–          Jack and Emma are begging to take the usual obligatory “bath”.

–          No one is going anywhere unless they ‘have-to’, you know like to McDonalds so it isn’t necessary to heat up the kitchen. Just joking on that one. Well Actually I’m not!

–          Jack and Emma have been volunteering to wash the cars every few days (playing with the water hose to cool off.)

–          We’ve been considering camels as an alternative transportation mode.

–          The one totally outdoor cat we have won’t go outdoors.

–          And we had a couple of “cool” friends stop by, but that didn’t last long.

Okay actually those are Emma and Jack creations from last winter, when it was cold out, sigh! (Yes the snowcat is Emma’s, Jack is creative but more traditional with his).

Okay, I have that out of my system now. No I don’t. It’s going to be this hot for at least another week.

I guess the last thing to say is it’s so hot I couldn’t find a good photo of me to put here because even my photo’s are sweating. Stay Cool, Penny

Just too darn hot!

Morning Dew – Nature’s art and lesser beings

I welcomed the sun early this morning. When everything seems fresh and new. There was a brilliant blue sky and the smell of clean damp grass, an earthy fragrance. Pleasant to the senses.

Up close and personal, I witnessed nature’s artistry.

Droplets of dew clinging to a gossamer fine spider web. For your pleasure and enjoyment I captured the moment.

One of nature’s lesser creatures was also out and about so I took a moment to capture him too. It was a joyous morning.

Greater or Lesser isn’t Mother Nature wonderful?
