Dichotomy’s Dissertation of Lonely and Alone

A creative interpretation through the medium of words viewing man’s struggle to understand man.

All Alone Am I

“Seeking through the blur of today’s truths

blending with yesterdays untruths (well, my interpretation thereof)

I find myself staring out the window

through early morning misty emptiness

even as

sunlight streams through my senses

creating a blistering awareness of being alive …

and worthy? I do not think I know what that word truly means

or in the obtuseness of my current thinking processes

it seems I don’t wish to know.

Yet do I recognize

how lonely am I

midst humanity’s crush

where futility sneaks in to blossom and flourish

in spite of hope.

Hope? Are you out there?

I’ve lost my way and find

my new reality is reminding me that

there is not one single soul caring

(the perception that I may still be of some selfish use for them not withstanding)

about me in this mass of life’s everything-ness.

Caring about

where I be

why I am

or even

more explicitly …

Who am I and if I am, do I indeed matter – in the whole scheme of things … do I?”

Sigh, it does seem, on some days that we humans are more confused than not. But I believe we are all seeking our place in the whole mixture of life’s adventure. And then there are those clever little things called “our emotions” likening to a riptide, riding high one moment and pulling you under the next. But I also believe we do, somehow, always manage to #GoOn! And that is a most excellent thing! 🙂 Have a great day and wonderful weekend to come.

The Beauty in our Heart Shines Out ~ When we share our love!

There is beauty everywhere in life. It is our own personal natures inside of us that detract from this rightness when we focus on what’s wrong with everything instead of concentrating on what’s right and making that even better. Should be simple, but it isn’t ~ definitely something for us to work on however, beginning today.

Share yourself; with love, compassion, forgiveness, understanding. Give of yourself; care, reach out, think of others and their needs.

The Exercise Our Pets Do better than We!

“… Exercise your “forgiveness” muscle every day!” PennyQuote

Our animals seem to have it down pat. We still need to work on this exercise – a whole lot more!

Unconditional love … yeah … that’s the ticket!

Have a great weekend everyone! Filled with lots of love (and forgiveness)!

Autism

being wanted

There is beauty in the heart and soul of every single child born on our planet today.

And one in ever 68 of them (in the USA) is born with Autism, which discounts their personal beauty not a bit. For the families who struggle with the varying issues that accompany this condition, my heart goes out to you. We deal with Autism in our family here, so I know of what I speak.

Please visit the following site I’ve linked to and read the article. It is extremely well written and informative. Mostly it’s emotionally moving as it reminds us of all the reasons we care and love one another and most especially – our children.

Hello November – Let’s make it a good one!

foto

For parts of the planet the weather is definitely getting colder. For other parts it is balmy and lovely! (I must admit to being a little bit envious for the warmth in those areas.)

It is Monday for most of us, Tuesday for some and a new week and month has begun.

What can we do to improve our day and those days ahead?

Well it isn’t going to be easy, is it? I mean, how can you determine the truth of what’s going on in the world around you sorting through the “heaps and heaps” of untruths, half-truths and play ol’ runaway insanity we are inundated with each day.

Common Sense

So here’s a thought. How about for starters, we use our common sense! For example “all commercials and advertisements” you are viewing online (regardless of what type of mechanical device you are using) – are there for the sole purpose of enticing you to buy something! (Always – No Exceptions, here!) So keep this in mind. Not just as a consumer but as an individual concerned for you and your family’s well-being.

Don’t buy into a “story” no matter how compelling because it’s “trending”. Use common sense. If you’re in a state (USA) where you’ll be voting the same logic should apply. Don’t “vote” just to vote. If you don’t understand the issue (you should) take the time to learn about it. Ditto with those who are running for a public office. Common Sense is an amazing tool when we take the time to use it.

legacyLegacy?

Yes, ‘Common Sense’ is absolutely better then ‘Omnipotent Hindsight’ which is how most opinions (we read about) are formed today – after the fact (spreading like wildfire) rather than securing needed information first – when the ‘actually facts’ can be of much needed value!

What is your ‘common sense’ quotient? Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised yourself, with how effective this tool can be for you!

Have a good November, make ‘common sense’ your new “norm”. And who knows? It might actually trend its way into some of the areas where common sense is sorely needed (because it’s obviously missing completely in those places).

Happy week to all, Stay balanced (with lots of love thrown in)! And never, never forget –

Your Written Words – A “Simple” Universal Truth!

jdurhamWhen we express ourselves through our written words, sometimes we add to the meaning of a reader’s understanding. But our blogging words aren’t necessarily the truth, or a fact. Just us expressing our perspective of our own understanding on the topic.

Therefore, when others read our words their interpretation may be different from what we meant to convey. As a result you may think to yourself (when you read the comments in your comment section)  … ” that’s not what I meant, or that’s not what I meant to say. Or “you don’t understand”.

Communication – that which connects all humans at a primeval level can and often does break down. This can occur with the spoken word as well.

In addition, all languages (around the world) structure their words according to ethnology (origin, history and characteristics of their race) and while there may be similarities, many aspects of the written word translate into different meanings, comprehensions and understandings.

So, while our purpose is to communicate with others (our thoughts, ideas, worries and concerns) depending on the readers focus, his/her personal life experiences to date, their own mindset from these experiences, and their understanding of the language, they may miss the intended meaning the writer was attempting to convey.

Sometimes communicating your thoughts and feelings in your blog, may be exceedingly difficult. When this occurs. Simplify your expressions. Go back to a few basic words. Some words are universal in their meaning and understanding. Words like Love and Hate. Good and Bad. Less and More. Sharing. Selfish. Indifference. War. Peace. Death. Life. Balance. Caring –

“One People! One Planet – One!”
Penny L Howe, 2013

It is ironic that the most profound thoughts are almost always expressed in the simplest manner. Then again perhaps proving the “truth” to this article.

Thanks for reading, have a great day.

I wish you could touch me now …

I am vulnerable because of loving so pure and deeply, my walls of protection cannot keep my desire for you at bay.

and so … I wish you could touch me now. Not my heart, you’ve touched me there too deeply, it’s still bruised and bleeding. But my body still hungers for you.

I need your touch …

I desire the warmth of your caress, the closeness of your body, the physical contact of … you!

I wish you could touch me now …

… even as I understand morning light will illuminate the true reality of our relationship. I know for all your tender caring words, you would be gone and my loving soul will still be bruised … for all your promises said in the moonlight hours of sensual need and gratification. I know all this.

But the longing remains so …

I still wish you could touch me now.

I’ll always have our memories of the night time to sustain me, in daylight hours spent alone, reflecting on why you said one thing and did another. Belittling my efforts instead of supporting them, and yet still I love you. And wish you to be happy.

I am pleased to hear you are where you’ve wanted to be for so long. I am happy for you. Resigned, accepting and aware of some of the hard learned lessons of life, when one exposes one’s soul during love.

But now in these evening hours I dream of you touching me again, filling my sensual needs. Even, as reality has come full circle and comprehension of the cruelty of those who love and those who take in the guise of love, is complete.

Touch me … but let it be only the physical, my bruised soul cannot bear the mockery of a pretense at true love (yours were personal and emotional needs for yourself. I don’t believe you really thought of my needs – perhaps as an afterthought), but my body does respond to your loving body. So in that, there is truth.

I wish you could touch me. I’m prepared now for tomorrow … it hurts, but I understand. With all the love in my heart that I give so freely, I was so sure someone might love me the way I loved them in return … it seems I was mistaken!

Most definitely an unrequited love piece here. Not to worry, my next fictional piece is part two of adventure and excitement. Dry your tears and stay tuned for fun! Our fictional young lady in the piece above (p.s.- she’s the one trapped in the tunnel https://thewhyaboutthis.com/2013/07/22/alastairs-photo-fiction-the-tunnel-and-survival/ , although brokenhearted, she’s about to kick some serious a..!) More to come!
