When Roman poet Virgil wrote of ‘Tempus Fugit’, his words at first glance seem to simply imply that of time hurrying past. But I’m convinced that he was actually thinking of the loss of time due to a preoccupation with things of no true value that in turn steal precious time away from us.
And so it is today. We are losing so much of our precious time as we seem to be completely caught up in the artificiality of today’s social norm.
It is sad. Everything has commercial value in our commercial world … and time, well time seems to have no value at all because we are so indiscriminately wasting it away.

She is silent, peacefully so.
He is sleeping a blissful comfort, most profound.
They’ve found not only love, but in this moment a pure value – emotional sensations indeed profound.
It won’t last, of course, because mercurial love is a living kaleidoscope, the slightest movement, or motion will rearrange these amazing sensations love bestows upon us. Capricious, unpredictable, quicksilver, whimsical, impulsive, fickle, temperamental, volatile, mutable… yet … there’s a strength of being in love, a bond or eternal there-ness, if you will.
Love’s torment, a bitter cruel reality may be right around the corner or just as possible more bliss, more happiness, more joy. The value of love is in the magnificence of its strength of being. It exists, whether you will or will not, love exists. It endures whether you take part or remove yourself into some deep dark place. Love survives. Perhaps only a seed within an unrequited environment of loneliness, but it exists.
Love is by the very nature of its existence, a supreme thing to be valued at all cost … in spite of all costs.
Love does reign supreme. It is the glue of survival, the God Particle (in science a popular nickname for the Higgs boson theory where subatomic particles are responsible for giving matter different properties. the “God Particle” is theorized to be the particle that actually does give mass to matter), more apt to say Love is the reality for which all of life exists and ultimately that which we most truly depend upon for our own fulfilled existence. No existential place but a coveted reality and need.
This then, the true and whole unmitigated … value of love.

The beauty of a woman is not an exterior thing. Although from a physical perspective there are many beautiful women. The beauty of a woman isn’t just an interior thing. Most women are amazingly loving, caring and giving. The beauty of a woman lies in the unique combination of genes that created her.
She stands alone on several fronts. It is a given that ‘needs be’ she can accomplish more in a single day than thought possible but even that isn’t the main beauty of a woman.
Her very essence and nature draws people together. Encourager of Humanity if you like. She is a nurturer and a teacher (regardless of her own educational level) she will immediately go into a teaching mode with another when seeing the need. For most women it is instinctive. She is a nurse and seems to know when and how to fix a wound, a hurt, an ailing part of another human being.
And while she may look for her place in the order of things and struggle to be recognized for her true value and worth … know this … it is already there built into her very being.
She is a female and this defines her better than any other. Mother of all and essential to life, not because she carries, gives birth and then nurtures us as children, but because she also sustains us as adults.
And she always will … regardless of the ever increasing roles and responsibilities she has in her life.

Part Two -Our greatest need is …
The two do go together, having a value and being loved. Yet in a world filled with people, our greatest need goes unfulfilled. And unfortunately, around the planet, it is children and adults (in fact all life) who are unloved and found valueless that are suffering from starvation, disease, abuse, poverty and death.
It is the children and adults in the larger inner cities that go homeless and hungry, abused and mistreated because they believe themselves to be (and in many cases are shown to be) unloved and having no value.
It is the many working adults and their children struggling to make ends meet in our ever changing environment who undervalue themselves, feeling unloved and wondering how to make everything be okay … Just okay.
It is the condition of false complacency that underlies – allowing all of these things to continue.
Bottom line, without exception we ALL need Love and a sense of purpose because we matter, and many of us need to be told this and have it visibly demonstrated in order to really believe it. And that isn’t happening the way it should.
Money doesn’t matter, let me repeat this so it’s a little clearer … MONEY DOESN’T MATTER after the basics I mentioned are attended to. If civilization as a whole is feeling forgotten, unloved and of no value, it’s because money has achieved a greater importance than the loving arms of someone holding you with true affection, a firm handshake of fellowship and positive connections being made across the lines of those who think differently than we do.
Humanity cannot truly move forward as long as the accumulation of wealth and material items for its own sake (which begets greed, the need to control and of course war and subsequent human loss and casualties) is viewed as the primary goal to success.
Loving and caring more. Sharing more. Encouraging more. Realizing you do need a lot less material items in your life. Being there for family and friends. Reaching out. Making a positive difference. THAT’S WHAT IS ULTIMATELY GOING TO MOVE EARTH SOCIETY FORWARD.
Currently the biggest problems we are dealing with have to do with complacency, apathy, indifference, greed and laziness and of course the belief that all things have a predetermined shelf life, including us. These problems in turn have caused all the other problems we find so overwhelming and … as is most generally the case, we are the root cause.
Ironically, happiness is always found in the simple things in life, and those things turn out to be the most important!
Seek value in everyday things. Recapture worth by finding it within yourself and others. Love, reach out, share, care – be there for family and friends. In the process you’ll discover your own heart filling with love. A heart filled with love has no room for hate. A mind filled with thoughts of giving and sharing has no room for greed or complacency. And achieving purpose that is filled with making a positive difference, finds value and worth in all things and all life … as it should be.

I look up at the night sky, countless stars scattered across the vast heavens bringing peace to my soul, infinite and yet so beautiful!
Born of the planet Earth, none-the-less, I know we are all a part of the life force of our Universe.
Our Earthly existence may seem to matter not at all, within the eternity of the heavens above. And yet while we live, each of our “life lights” shine as brightly as a star.
No matter where, or who we were born as – doesn’t matter, our life flow sparks no less brightly. Our gender, age, race or beliefs, all a part of our earthly existence yet – equally – we are all of the same magnificent Universe, shining as brightly as the stars in our night sky. We are a part of the majesty of it all, you know.

Economically (fiscally) speaking, healthy, happy engaged and employed human beings trump every other value ‘per capita’ when it comes to the worth of a thing! Always! (Even in this technological, consumer activism, ‘money making money’ economy driven society!)
The value of each human begins from the moment of their existence.
Consequently the road to economic prosperity – for all societies (no exceptions) is always dependent (first) on the well-being of humans (both men and women), including all living entities,with which we humans coexist (and depend upon) on our planet!”

Such small words. Such huge and wonderful meanings. When we use small words with big meanings do we feel big feelings? Do we think big thoughts?
In the English language of things, these can all be “action” words (verbs)! Are they action words (in your life) when you say them or are they simply words connecting other words together in a sentence. Words written or spoken in daily platitudes but not our personal attitudes.
I know when we use small words that are negative …
… we are very action oriented! Look around, it’s rather obvious isn’t it? Violence,
meanness, cruelty, selfishness, greed are everywhere (in abundance)! Why is that?
The human heart has such a giant capacity for LOVE and LOVING!
Today, written and spoken words are being used as weapons, tearing apart and ripping through the potential of what we can become: something far greater than the sum of our individual parts. Please use those action words that help bring us – all – closer together. Not further apart. And yes! You do make a difference! Every single human being on the planet does!
Each life holds the capability of greatness from which something mighty may grow.
