Tempus Fugit – The Irreplaceability of Escaping Time!

escapingtime

When Roman poet Virgil wrote of ‘Tempus Fugit’, his words at first glance seem to simply imply that of time hurrying past. But I’m convinced that he was actually thinking of the loss of time due to a preoccupation with things of no true value that in turn steal precious time away from us.

And so it is today. We are losing so much of our precious time as we seem to be completely caught up in the artificiality of today’s social norm.

It is sad. Everything has commercial value in our commercial world … and time, well time seems to have no value at all because we are so indiscriminately wasting it away.

*

We’re wasting away our immutable time

consumption soon beyond our repair,

our todays and tomorrows will then all be gone

And escaping time … alas … will not care.

Be wise with your time it does seem to pass quickly by in today’s world. Have a positive week ahead.
